I’m Thankful for a Day at Home!

Today the weather is icy outside so I’m inside sitting close to the fire listening to Christmas music.

love days like this! I’m thankful for a warm house…..I shouldn’t take that for granted.

I have lots of things I can get done today at home.

So far:

I did my devotion and read the Christmas story in Luke 2. I thought about Mary…how she must have felt, how young she probably was. Amazing! I also lifted up some prayer requests…. so thankful for prayer.

Put the dishes in the dishwasher (I thought I just did that….does anyone else seem to always have dirty dishes left in their sink?)

Washed a load of clothes ( I have about five more to do!)

Made a yummy breakfast  roll (I’ve eaten two pieces..Yum!) I’ll be sharing this tomorrow in Wanda’s Kitchen so make sure you stop back by and also link your favorite Christmas recipes up.

I talked to my sweet daughter (she’s a teacher and is out of school today). I’m so thankful for her!

In case you think I’m by myself….no chance! My Dad is upstairs in his part of the house, my other daughter Kitty, is sitting in the great room with me. My husband has already left for work.

So what about you…..what’s you’re day like today? My prayer is that it is full of love, and warmth, and peace.

P.S. Join me tomorrow for my First Christmas Recipe Linky Party! Share your favorite Christmas recipe with all of us!!

  1. I also had a wonderful cozy indoors with my little family. The girls and I were so excited to have my hubby all to ourselves on his first day of holiday 🙂
I am so looking forward to your recipe tomorrow! Sounds yummy!
    Have a wonderful weekend.

  2. Can you BELIEVE the weather we’ve had in December?? Amazing, isn’t it?

Today was to be the last day of finals for my two younger kids. They really enjoyed sleeping in instead of heading off to take exams! And I’m so thankful to be here in my nice warm house! 🙂

  3. I love days at home. I have been soO busy lately and haven’t had time at home. I was beginning to feel stressed this morning but the Heavenly Father so graciously worked out a solution for me this morning. I’m grateful. Have a great day, Cyndi!
