It’s Been A Koinonia Kind of Weekend

Koinonia is a greek word meaning fellowship.

My weekend has been full of koinonia!

Friday evening I spent some time with my family……………

My Dad and my brother. (My brother says I never put him on my blog…….so here you go Blake :-))

My husband and I attended a banquet on Saturday evening and he sang a couple of songs.

I got some video of him practicing one of the songs before the evening started and I thought you might enjoy it………….

Last night we had some sweet  fellowship with friends from church.

I didn’t get pictures but I did grab a quick picture of my table before they arrived.

What would I do without some koinonia?

What about you…did you get to spend some time with friends or family this weekend?

  1. Good fellowship is always awesome. It’s so funny that you used the word “koikonia” because up until yesterday I had no idea what it meant. I read about it in “Right Here Right Now” by Alan Hirsch and Lance Ford and it was just really strange timing! The best line so far from the book is this:
“If someone tells you, “We gathered in koinonia,” doesn’t that sound a lot more spiritual than if they say, “We got together for tacos”?

I read that line the night that my small group was supposed to have mexican night. HA!

  2. I want some koinonia with my sweet nieces, nephews, brother-in-law and the whole family! Miss you all and love you very much! Wayne’s song is beautiful!

  3. Love that word! 🙂

I had some Koinonia with my family Sunday afternoon for lunch. Seventeen people gathered around a table eating, laughing and loving.

  4. I never get enough koinonia! 🙂

You must be so proud of Wayne. . . how cool for him to have such a gift! His voice is just beautiful. Thanks for the video!

    Love you, girl!
