There’s Nothing Like Being A Mother….

We had such a busy weekend! My sister, sister-in-law, daughter and I had a yard sale at my house on Saturday morning. We were so busy pricing and then selling I didn’t get any pictures. That was probably best since we were all looking a little rough!

Mother’s day weather was beautiful and after a wonderful church service we headed to the Beaumont Inn for lunch. The Beaumont Inn is an historic bed and breakfast that is full of Southern tradition and charm.

I love the atmosphere and it’s a great place to take pictures. This is a picture of the soon-to-be parents and the soon-to-be grandparents.

Our family continues to grow. And I am one thankful Mama!

Wayne was trying to get us to pose and we were not cooperating. We couldn’t stop laughing and goofing off!

We did a little better on this one.

Kitty, our daughter from France, posing with Cory and Wayne.

Wayne and I stopped by and visited Mom’s grave. My sister had put the cute picture frame on her grave earlier that day (although the funeral home rules say only fresh flowers.) She always breaks the rules 🙂

Lastly we headed to Wayne’s family to spend some time with his Mom. She is a wonderful mother and mother-in-law!

I hope you had a wonderful day. Maybe some of you like me have lost your Mom and the day is filled with some sadness. I hope you know that Jesus cares.

He knows our hurts and our pains. He sees our tears and hears our prayers and he promises to give us peace.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27

How was your weekend? Did you get pampered a little??

Have a blessed day!

  1. We were on the road all day- left Bratislava and drove through Hungary to get back into Ukraine…but there we all were in the Honda together! 🙂 I got a cow bell as a gift. Sounds crazy, but when we were in Bravaria last week, each cow wore one and the sound was so pretty and the scenery unbeievable, so it was a great way to remember a very fun week!

  2. This was my 1st mother’s day and my husband pampered me with a professional massage and lunch. I couldn’t be more blessed.
