A Room Re-do and a Linky Party!

Hey Friends,

I just wanted to let you know what I’m working on today because I’m having so much fun!!

Yep it’s a nursery!! (it looks a little blah right now)

I’ve decided to put a nursery at my house for our grand baby!

Courtney and Chris only live about 5 minutes from our house and they’re here all the time

so I thought having a nursery here would be perfect.

This is what the room looked like before…..Kitty our foreign exchange student stayed here

(don’t worry Kitty you still have a bedroom at our house).

I’m headed out the door to get some paint for the nursery.

I think I’m going to use Full Moon by Sherwin Williams. It’s a pale yellow.

I still have lots to do to get it ready for Colt Allen but I think it will be adorable.

I’m using bedding that I have from Pottery Barn.

This is what my Mom used in her house for all the grand children.

Traci, my sister, kept it after Mom passed away and so she’s letting me use it.

I’m hoping to be able to link this to Traci’s  Best DIY projects for June. We’ll see!

Lastly, I thought it would be fun to have a linky party to get to know each other better.

So tomorrow I would love for you to link up a post you’ve done on

faith, family, or some other encouraging post.

I don’t know about you but I love reading uplifting blog posts.

You know………the ones that inspire me to be a better wife, mother, friend, sister etc.

Make sure you stop by and we’ll encourage each other!

Have a great day!!

  1. Oh thank you so much!! I know Mom would be so glad I was using it! It’s in perfect condition and I borrowed all my furniture from my sister so it’s hardly going to cost me a thing.
    Thanks for stopping by!!

  2. I’m so glad someone else understands me! They won’t have to pack everything up and bring it with them, I’ll have it. I really am having fun decorating a nursery….it’s been a while.
Have a blessed day! and thanks for stopping by!

  3. Cindi – I don’t have a blog or anything to linky but I wanted to tell you how much I like the bedding. I love that your Mom used it for your sister’s boys and now you are using the bedding for your grandson. I am sure your Mom is smiling down from heaven as she is watching you prepare this room for her great-grandson. Have fun with the preparations! : )

  4. I did that same thing. I had a crib set up at my house for my grandson. It was nice because he got used to staying in it, and the few times his parents went on trips I was able to keep him and he was comfortable with his environment. I love that bedding and how sweet that you get to use it for Colt.
