I Painted it Jalapeno Jelly Green!

A few weeks ago I received my Southern Living magazine and found a picture that caught my eye (no it wasn’t the dog that caught my eye).

It’s the colors and those adorable end tables!

Well, I don’t have a porch like that but I do have a bonus room upstairs

(my Dad used our bonus room and he recently married and moved out ).

Here’s some pictures I took after he left…………….

Don’t you love that I left the ironing board out when I took the pictures. 🙂

I’m going to try to make it brighter and I’d like to use the greens and blues like the picture from Southern Living.

I decided to start with an end table that I already have. It’s different than the ones in the picture but I think it will work.

I used the same paint colors from the magazine. It was Jalapeno Jelly by Valspar from Lowe’s.

I took the color swatch and went to Sherwin Williams because I get a discount.

I also used Alabaster from Sherwin Williams for the bottom part of the table.

I think I’m going to like it!

Here it is in my upstairs bonus room now. Unfortunately, I have nothing blue to add to my room yet. 🙁

It turned out pretty good…………….

  1. I love it, Cyndi! You know I love blue and green. . . I think this table turned out just great! I need to start getting inspiration from magazines again. I haven’t picked up a paper magazine in a while, which is a shame. Need to get the juices flowing!

  2. Love the table! I recently painted my laundry room in a green color and have really enjoy it.

  3. I’d say your bonus room is off to a great start!! Awesome job on that side table! I am always looking for pieces like that at Goodwill to refurbish into a fun color for my daughter’s room, or just restained for the living room or dining room… so much fun!!
