My New Favorite Paint Color

Hey Friends!

I don’t know about you but this time of year I’m

usually on a last minute rush to get a few things done

to my house before the holidays.

My dining room has been driving me crazy……….I just

didn’t like the way it was looking.

Here’s a Before picture………….Ughh!!

I can’t buy new furniture so I decided to work with

what I have and add some accents.

I asked my sister, Traci what she thought I should do

and she suggested I get rid of the yellow paint.

So, that’s what I did and I love my new color!! It’s Urban Putty by Sherwin Williams.

Here’s the After picture………….

I spray painted my chandelier an oil rubbed bronze color (it was silver looking)

and hung it lower over my table.

I also bought large sconces from Hobby Lobby to go on each side of my hutch.

I added a picture with lots of color. It looks very close to the one in the Ballard Designs catalog

but I got it at Gordmans and paid half the price.

The black console was my Mom’s and she had purchased it from Ballard Designs. I love it!

Here’s a closer look…………..

I ordered new green dishes from Ebay called American Atelier Bianca Beaded Verde Green

16 Piece Dinnerware Set. They definitely add some color to my hutch.

I would still like to get an area rug to add more color but I may wait until after Christmas.

So what do you thing about my new paint color?

Have a great Saturday!

  5. Love the new color, Cyndi! I have the exact same sconces from Hobby Lobby. I have them over my fireplace on either side of a picture. Still love them!

  6. I like it, Cyndi!! I think it’s soothing and the neutral tone will allow you to do so many things seasonally! Cute dishes, too!
