Fashion For Your Thanksgiving Day

I can’t believe it’s two days until Thanksgiving! I. can. not. wait! I love all the delicious food and I’m getting hungry just thinking about it!

Yesterday I shared with you some of my favorite shoes for the Fall/Winter season. If your like me you have lots of holiday get togethers over the next several weeks. It’s easy to take what you already have in your closet and add some of this years fashion trends.

Have I mentioned how much I love Pinterest! It’s full of style boards to help you find outfits and accessories. Take your favorite ones and then head to a discount store and find the pieces you like at a great price. If you would like to follow me on Pinterest just click here.

Leopard print is super popular this year and I love it! You can wear as much or as little as you want. I like to add it as an accessory like a scarf or a pair of shoes.

This is a simple outfit but the leopard print scarf makes it pop!

I recently purchased these leopard print flats at Kohl’s. They are the most comfortable flats I’ve ever owned!

Another fashion trend that is popular this year is flare or wide leg pants. This is my favorite style board floating around Pinterest. I love the leopard print, the pop of red and the flared jeans. Too cute!

For some reason my jeans don’t look flared in these pictures but they are. I purchased these Guess jeans at T.J. Maxx and paid $29 for them. I buy almost all my jeans at T.J. Maxx. These jeans are long (which I love) so I’m wearing my brown wedge shoes from Target.

If you’re rushed for time or want to spend very little money I would recommend adding a scarf to your outfit. I love Walmart’s thin scarves and they’re only $5. I have one of them on in this picture. The shirt would look really plain without the scarf. (Thanks to Darcy from Life with my 3 Boybarians for taking my picture! She’s awesome!)

Thank you for stopping by today! Join me tomorrow as I begin counting down to Christmas. Each Wednesday I’ll share with you ways to keep Christ in Christmas.

Beauty For the Heart~~ Shout with joy to the Lord, all the earth! Worship the Lord with gladness. Come before him, singing with joy. Acknowledge that the Lord is God! He made us, and we are his. We are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation. Psalm 100 NLV

  1. Thank you for the wonderful posts. I’m going to definitely try the Cover Girl concealer. I too have seen the Pinterest on the cute outfit with the leopard prints. Any chance you can source the watch and purse? I so want to put this outfit together.

    Happy Thanksgiving.

  2. You have a great blog and so glad Traci shared you with us 🙂 I also struggled with my job of selling clothes to women over the years, thinking it may be superficial. Recently, I found this quote and thought you’d enjoy. It has really made me more comfortable with my job and I truly enjoy helping women feel better about themselves. Have a great Thanksgiving!

“While clothes may not make the woman, they certainly have a strong effect on her self-confidence, which I believe, does make the woman!” Mary Kay Ashe, founder of Mary Kay

  3. Hi Cyndi! I found your blog through your sister and I’m so glad that I found your blog. Like I said to her, there are never enough blogs that focus on Jesus. I’m delighted to be your newest follower! Hope you’re having a fabulous Thanksgiving!

  4. I scampered over here from Traci’s blog and was not disappointed! You are filling a much needed niche–Christian women want to look good, too, and sometimes we need a little (ok, a lot for me) help! Concluding with Beauty for the Heart is such an inspiration. So Thank You, Cyndi!
    Blessings,
    Sindy 🙂

  5. I love your blog. Thank you for all the cool ideas about how to dress. I am also a Pastors wife and struggle with what to wear, what is expected and how much to focus on it. I am so enjoying your posts.

  6. You’d love the scarves here! We get them in the metro undergrounds for CHEAP!! 🙂 And there is an Italian purse store that carries a whole lot more than purses (which are awesome, too)- so you know, if you’re ever in my neck of the woods during the next 7 months, we can shop! 🙂

  7. I love the flats since I really love animal print. I like to use it as an accessory too. I will definitely check out the scarfs at Walmart and Payless. Not only do I love wearing scarfs, I am also planning to use some for gifts this year. I have been looking at that board from Pinterest too. I don’t think I would have thought of putting the red with the animal print but I really like the effect.

  8. Will have to run through the scarf section after the nail polish section. I have recently found really cute ruffly scarves at Payless, of all places! Check them out!

Cyndi, I really love your sweet heart and encouragement!

  9. Cyndi, you are just too cute! Truly beautiful. I love leopard print. I used to have a ton of it, but now I don’t. 🙁 Your shoes are super cute, love them! I also cannot wait until Thanksgiving! 🙂

  10. Cyndi, you are so cute! Do I keep saying that? I really mean it! I love your smile and your beauty. Your inner beauty, Christ in you, shines through too. The leopard print flats are super cute. I’m really into flats right now. 🙂 Great suggestions today. Many blessings!
