Fashion Friday~Adding Stylish and Inexpensive Accessories

Happy Friday! I’m sure all of you are super busy with just a little over two weeks left until Christmas. My list is long of all the things I need to get done before December 25th.

I still have baking, decorating, buying, and wrapping to do. On top of that we have several family get togethers between now and Christmas and of course, church.

I don’t have the money to buy new holiday outfits for all of our get togethers but I could buy a few accessories to perk up the clothes I have. Pinterest is such a big help. If you search style you’ll find all kinds of cute outfits. Many of the pieces we all have in our closet and just by adding a few accessories we can have these looks.

Here’s some I liked:

This is such a cute classic outfit. Most of us probably have a dressy blouse, black heels, black purse and pants. Just add some bling, bling jewelry and you have a great holiday outfit. Target and Kohl’s are great places to buy inexpensive bling.

Many of us also have a gray sweater (a black sweater would also work) and jeans. (I’m personally not a fan of those boots. I’d wear a cute pair of flats). Add a red purse, red flower and this would be great for the season. I just ordered some earrings like that because I see them everywhere and I love them!

This board shows how you can wear black and brown. I love mixing these two colors! Believe it or not I don’t have any brown boots but that’s the one and only thing I’ve asked for Christmas this year. (hint, hint if any of my family is reading this :-))

Something I love to wear is skirts and dresses. I know everyone wants to dress down these days especially for church but I like to dress up. I have a black shirt, black heels and a gray skirt. I could buy some cute inexpensive bangles and earrings like these and I have this look. For all you women over 40 notice the glasses~~they are a fashion accessory, yes!

I love, love, love  this skirt. I have the boots and black turtleneck. Add this stylish skirt and vuala!

So if your looking for some cute outfits to wear to all your holiday gatherings look in your closet first and then just add some inexpensive but stylish accessories.

Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by!

  3. My daughter and I like to shop at Forever 21 for inexpensive jewelry. They have a great selection and its so affordable.

  4. Yay! I really like your sense of fashion. I also like the Beauty For the Heart thought for today. It is pertinent to all, but I must remember to tell it to my adopted daughter when she is older. Have a great weekend.
