5 Ways To Boost Your Energy During the Holidays



Okay, let’s be honest this time of the year is hectic! And it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and exhausted. If we’re not careful by the time Christmas gets here we’re so tired we can’t enjoy it. So here are 5 ways to boost your energy during the holidays so you can  feel great.

1. Eat healthy~~ I know what you’re thinking, that’s impossible this time of the year. But it’s not! We’re all going to splurge on some of our favorite holiday foods but try to limit yourself. Buy some healthy snacks like bananas, yogurt, carrots, and nuts. Most importantly (I’m saying this to remind myself) eat breakfast. That’s gets our metabolism going and we all need that!

2. Get a good night sleep~~Most of us think we can get more done if we stay up half the night but truthfully we are hurting our bodies. We need sleep to rejuvenate our mind and our body.

3. Exercise~~I know it’s hard this time of the year but even a few times a week is better than nothing. If you have stairs, run up and down them several times, or if you can walk outside, a brisk walk for 15 minutes is not only good for your body but it’s also good for your sanity. 🙂

4. Take a power nap~~If you’re feeling extremely tired during the day, stop and lay down for 15 minutes. Turn the tv off, all the lights and rest your body. Try not to sleep much longer because it could make you not sleep well at night.

5. Laugh as much as possible~~This is my favorite way to boost my energy and my attitude. Laughter is good for the soul! We love to laugh in my family and it always makes me feel better. So look for things that are funny and then belly laugh. You’ll feel better, I promise!
