Christmas 2011 and Some Fashion

Hey Friends!

Well, Christmas 2011 is now over and I’m not going to lie, I’m kind of glad. Don’t get me wrong, I love Christmas but I’m exhausted!

Christmas morning was super special because of this little guy. He smiles all the time except when we start taking pictures. He seems scared of the camera~he better get over that!

I had Christmas dinner at my house, the day after Christmas. This is my sweet brother and his family.

This is my sister, Traci and her family. They had just locked their keys in their car so they were a little frustrated. They did get it unlocked and thank goodness because I already have a house full!!

A quick picture of my family. Again Colt Allen will not smile. 🙂

A picture of our precious Dad with his three amazing children (hehehe).

I am blessed with a wonderful sister and brother that I adore!

We paused to thank Jesus for all the blessings he has given our family. We are especially thankful for His love and His grace!

There’s a lot of eating, talking, and then some rest from eating too much!

Lastly, a little fashion. I’ve told you how much I love leopard print and this leopard print shrug from Banana Republic was perfect for my Christmas dinner. It was on sale, of course!

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas too!

Are you glad its over or are you sad to see Christmas 2011 end?

  1. Believe it or not, things actually slow down in our corner of the world on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. We had lunch with friends (at a restaurant – no cooking!)on 12/24, then church that afternoon/evening. We never left the house Christmas Day – our daughters stayed in their PJs all day. Very laid back day! This week, we’re celebrating with some out-of-town friends, then, New Year’s with my in-laws.

The leopard shrug is too cute!

Wishing you abundant blessings in 2012!

  2. I’m always sad when it’s over. It seems to take so much effort to prepare for and then it’s over in a flash. I love the family times the best. It’s so hard to get everyone together any other time. I’m glad you had a great Christmas! I love all the fashion info. Keep it up!

  3. am glad Christmas activities are over and ready to start the new year on a “lighter” note, looking for a simple healthy way to lose the Christmas blessings I received~ via my mouth. and lastly, looking forward to making my spirit lighter in the new year with more bible reading and a positive attitude. thank you for your wonderful posts, enjoyed seeing your beautiful family. blessings to you and yours this 2012!

  4. And of all the photos… seeing all of your family gathered in prayer… well that is the very best.

  5. I do love Christmas because we pause to spend special time with our families and remember what the reason for the season is all about! But….I’m ready to take down the Christmas decorations and go back to normal.
You have a beautiful family! I’m so glad I found your blog a few months ago!

  6. I love Christmas but when the day finally comes, I’m like so glad it is here and it is over…..LOL!!! I like the shopping, baking, but it can be EXHAUSTIng…..

  7. Well, it’s really not over yet for us. We still have to have Christmas with our immediate family. We are actually doing that today. Three of our four son-in-laws are pastors and did not want to be away from their churches on Sunday. Yesterday we had Christmas dinner at my mother’s house, so today is our first chance. I do know what you mean about the tired part, though! Looks like you had a good Christmas!
