The Skin Care Products I Use!

Happy Friday!

It’s finally gotten really cold here in Kentucky and we even have a little snow! I’m going to take advantage of this cold weather and stay inside and do some much needed organizing.

Last week when I asked you guys to take a survey about my blog you asked lots of questions. One thing many of you wanted to know was, what skin care products I use.

I have always tried to take care of my face by using good skin care. Let’s be honest there are thousands of skin care products out there and we could spend hundreds of dollars trying to make ourselves look younger.

The truth is I’m 45 years old and I’m never going to look 25 again. I’m OK with that! (Of course, if you know of a miracle product by all means share it with us! :-))

Over the last ten years, I have used Mary Kay skin care products more than any other product. Here are some reasons why~

  • Their prices are reasonable. I can’t spend hundreds of dollars a month on skin care!
  • They have many products to choose from that fit the problem areas I need (and at 45, I have several!).
  • They’re American made! and I love to support anything that’s American made.

These are the products I love and use consistently:

The Miracle set and at my age I need a miracle!

Firming eye cream~an under cream that helps with my dark circles and wrinkles.

This is my favorite product~the Time Wise Microdermabrasion Set. I use it twice a week and I love the way it makes my skin feel and look.

These are some of my favorite ones but there are many others that work great!

I decided several months ago to become an independent beauty consultant so that I could get the products I use at a discount. Because women sometimes ask me what I use I decided to set up a Personal Website.

If you want to order any of these products you can order them directly from me (its kind of like an etsy shop except I don’t make the products!).

Just click my button and you’ll get the products quickly and I’ll pay for the shipping! If you have any questions you can email me at cyndispivey(at)gmail(dot)com.

Beauty For the Heart~~I love to read The Message version of the Bible at times. This is 2 Corinthians 4:16 from The Message:

So we’re not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace. These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us. There’s far more here than meets the eye. The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow. But the things we can’t see now will last forever.

Our outside might be falling apart but let’s make sure our inside is looking more and more like Jesus Christ!

Have a great weekend friends!

  1. Do you know where Avon Anew Skincare products are manufactured? I have looked everywhere and can’t seem to find my answer. Love the price and reviews of Avon Anew but American made is really important as well………

  2. Thank you Melissa!! You’re sweet! and I would still love to do a guest post for you sometime….I love the site you’ve started and I would love to talk about the importance of having a strong marriage after those sweet kids leave home.
    Have a great weekend!

  3. That’s so funny because so many women that follow my blog seem to sell Mary Kay. Such a small world!!
Have a great weekend Darby and than you so much for stopping by my little world. 🙂
    Blessings,
    Cyndi

  4. Love it! I have used Mary Kay for, wow, 30 plus years! The only exception was when i was what they call a “Mary Kay orphan” for a couple of years. I have to say that in those couple of years my skin did “age”. I’m glad I’m not an “orphan” any more; hope I never will be! You will be a great consultant, Cyndi!

  5. I used to use Mary Kay then I moved to Aveeno now on my face I use just an old fashioned homemade hand soap. I suppose at age 57 I should go back to a better facial routine. Suggestions are always good. I definately want to find a good mascara.

  6. Thanks for interesting post well ! skin care involves different steps i.e. cleansing, toning, moisturizing. There are thousands of skin care products are available in market at economical rates.

  7. I have been a (personal use) consultant with mary kay twice in the past and am in the process of discussing whether to begin again. have to agree – the microdermabrasion is the best! love it! truthfull i just love being a woman and love all the fun things that go along with it.

  8. I love the Mary Kay Microdermabrasion and Satin Hands! Two of my favorite products! For everyday skin care, I use Avon products. I have extremely sensitive skin and I do best with the Avon Anew products.

  9. I didn’t know you were an IBC too! I started using MK products in 2003 and selling them for myself in 2007. I love MK and agree with all of your reasons why you like the products. I also like that it’s a Christian organization and that they put God & family before business. Have a great weekend Cyndi!

  10. Good morning Cyndi! I too am a Mary Kay Consultant, and have been for a little over 10 years! I started using Mary Kay a few years before that, but decided it was to my advantage to just be a consultant so I could get it “at cost”. My sister and mother also use it, so it’s worth it. Have a blessed day and a wonderful weekend! 🙂

  11. Okay, there’s no doubt now that we would get along just great 🙂 ….I signed up a few months ago to be a Mary Kay beauty consultant to get my products at a discount too!!

Have a great weekend Cyndi 🙂
