You Said It And I Listened!

First let me say, my husband loves you all! Wayne did not like my blond streak so he was thrilled that the majority of you all agreed with him.

Thank you for being so kind with your comments but also for being honest.

I now feel when I have any decision to make, I should check with you guys (after I pray about it first, of course!) Haha!

Most of you know if you’ve read my blog for any length of time that I love fashion and make-up.

One of the main reasons I love to dress up and wear make-up is because I want to look attractive for my husband.

Wayne always compliments me a lot!

That may sound old fashioned to some people but I think looking good for your husband is a good thing!

With that being said, since he didn’t like my blond streak, I thought it was best to get rid of it!

(BTW, my hair never looks good the first day I get it colored and cut but I had to get some pictures!)

A few weeks ago I did a giveaway for Olive tee and this is one of the t-shirts that they sell. You can’t read the small print but under grace it says, pass it on.  Isn’t that cute!

Also I have on yoga pants. My sister said I never wear them (you can read that post here) but that’s not true! I do every once in a while.

I didn’t get pictures of my outfits this week (I lost my camera for a few days) so I put two of the outfits I wore back on.

I love a jean jacket and I also love a white collared shirt. My jean jacket is from The Gap and I’ve had it for several years.

This is the outfit I wore to church on Sunday.

The black sweater is from Kohl’s and again I wore a white collared shirt!

Nothing very impressive this week~I’m sorry. I promise I’m going to pull out some spring stuff!

Okay, so what do you think? Are we good with brown hair?

Beauty For the Heart~~I think these verses speak for themselves!

Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.

Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word,  and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church— for we are members of his body. Ephesians 5:21-30

Have a blessed day!

Your cute as a bug! Love your tee as well. Subtle reminder of the amazing Grace we should pass along.

I think wanting to look good for your husband is a great thing! I am going through some health issues, so sometimes it is hard to look fab, but I always try to put on at least jeans and a nice shirt (instead of sweat pants) before my hubby comes home.

Love your hair color (and the style).

I liked the blonde, but you’re beautiful both ways :) I’m with you, though. I would do what my husband wanted though it takes me awhile to pry it out of him.

I agree with you Cyndi….looking attractive for your husband :) A wise dear older friend once said to me that just because we’re married now, that we can’t just let go of taking care of ourselves. Sooo agree with that! Also, love the Bible verse you mentioned… something I need to remember daily, submitting as my wonderful husband is indeed the head of the home. Love you!!

Cyndi, I think your hair looks great! I can’t imagine why you think it doesn’t look as good the first day. I wish mine looked that good any day. BTW…after a yr of not cleaning teeth, I am heading out Monday morning to fill in for an 8 week maternity leave. Wish me luck! Heck, wish the patients luck! ha ha Guess I better go get that tennis ball and start doing some exercises:)

I liked the blond streak, but your hair looks great now! I love the scripture from today! As a SAHM, I always try to be dressed from head to toe, make-up on and hair done before my hubby comes home for lunch every day, whether I am leaving the house that day or not. I feel better about myself, and he doesn’t dread seeing me either! (he would never say that, I just think it’s better) AND for years I struggled with the submitting to my husband part, BUT I finally gave in to the Lord on that, and it makes everything so much easier :)

I love it! You look great! I totally agree looking good for your husband is a good thing! And hearing those compliments from him is good too! I love to wear makeup and dress nice for my husband also. He appreciates it and compliments me and that, right there, makes all of my efforts so worth it! :)

As soon as I saw your husband weigh in, I knew what you would do. And that is as it should be. You are a stunning woman no matter what.

You’re hair looks great! I’m glad that you said that about wanting to look good for Wayne. I went through many ‘mommy” years that I didn’t pay enough attention to that (poor Nathan). I now see the importance of the effort, not a size or shape, just the effort. I recently read Gen. 3:16, like never before (love the living Word) where God tells Eve that “her desire will be for her husband”. WOW! So true, I think most of us, truly want that and thanks for giving us ideas to accomplish God’s will. Love ya sister!!

Love it! Although I did like the blonde streak too. 😉 You are beautiful inside and out! And love the Olivetee! I am wearing mine today! :)
