What I Wore This Week

Happy Hump Day!

Oh my, it’s warm here, so I’ve been scrambling to get my spring and summer clothes out.

We’re all trying to soak up this beautiful weather and I even laid outside on a blanket for a little while yesterday.

This is NOT typical weather for March!

I showed you this outfit last Friday when I posted on color blocking. The tank is hot pink and the collared shirt is coral.

I recently purchased this blouse at TJ Maxx for $19.99. (I don’t know why my daughter didn’t notice the plastic bag on the counter and tell me to move it! Just keeping it real!)

I added blue jewelry because of all the color blocking for spring. I purchased this bracelet at Kohl’s last year.

This past weekend we also watched a lot of basketball so I pulled out my UK gear. Go cats!

It was a rainy day so I paired it with polka dot rain boots.

As you all can see, I’m not going to get a fashion award anytime soon!

I’m just a wife, mom (and grandmother, yikes!) that loves fashion and make-up.

Do you have a hard time during the change of seasons knowing what to wear?

Beauty For the Heart~~The verse I read this morning in my devotional time was Ephesians 3:17-19,

Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.  And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

Do you need to hear today how much you are loved by Jesus? I do!

  1. Love that UK Blue! We’re in Lexington and my youngest daughter has turned into a big Cat fan. So funny to hear her cheering for her team 😉

  2. Cyndi,
Love the pink and coral together and the blousy shirt is adorable. I’m a little bit older than you (53) but small and even though I can fit in many of the “younger” styles I don’t want to look silly! I love your style, and your love for the Lord! I enjoyed your fashion tips for the over 40 group. Keep up the good work on the blog. I so enjoy it!

  3. Hey Denise~
I usually get my jeans at TJ Maxx. I get name brands like Guess and DKNY. I have been wanting to spend a little more money and get some at J Crew but I haven’t broke down yet.
I’m sure you probably have to buy petite which makes it a little harder to find.
    I hope this helps!
    Blessings,

  4. Cyndi,
You mentioned on one of your posts that you loved Bobbi Brown undereye concealer. I also read that Mary Kay has a good one as well. Do you still use the Bobbi Brown or do you think Mary Kay is as good or better? Just wondering, because I’m always looking for a great product in this problem area. Love your blog and your love for the Lord. Keep up the good work.

  5. Love your blog and I love your hair. Would love to see a post on how you style it and a picture of the back.

  6. C-
I have to ask you a serious question…where do you get your jeans?? I have such a HARD time finding trendy jeans, that FIT. I’m 47 (GASP- LOL) and in between sizes (4-8) depending on the styles of jeans (straight or slim leg, or bootcut) and only 5’4″. Trying to find good jeans is so hard to do….do you have any suggestions? I’d greatly appreciate your advice. I don’t want to spend a lot of money on jeans, and maybe that’s my problem…maybe I’m going to have to spend it to find them!
    🙂

  7. Looking the other way on the UK gear…looking more north toward my Hoosiers!!!!

But I love you in the green! Gorgeous! I like the idea of adding the other color in the accessories. Maybe I can do that – funny because I wrote about color blocking today 🙂 and my fear of colored jeans!

  8. Very cute outfits – this is my first time on your blog and you are adorable! Love the 2nd top. I have a very similar one from Kohl’s. 🙂 And I had to smile at your UK gear…my mom is from Lexington! Happy Wednesday!
