This Is Random~Worry and Eyebrows!

Yeah! Its’ Friday!

Today I’m switching things up. I’m starting with my heart issues and ending with a fashion tip.

Beauty For the Heart~~I have to tell you something about myself.

I am a worrier! I know what you’re thinking, worry is a sin.

Well, I’m a sinner, and a big one!

This past week I’ve been feeling a little under the weather and I practically had my funeral planned.

Okay, maybe not that drastic, but I did think I had some horrible disease.

This morning I got up to do my devotion and as always it spoke right to my heart.

I wonder how many of you are like me? Do you worry too much?

Here are the first few lines from my devotional book, Jesus Calling by Sarah Young.

“It is good that you recognize your weakness. That keeps you looking to Me,

your strength. Abundant life is not necessarily health and wealth; it is living in

continual dependence on Me. Instead of trying to fit this day into a preconceived

mold, relax and be on the lookout for what I am doing. This mind-set will

free you to enjoy Me and to find what I have planned for you to do.

This is far better than trying to make things go according to your own plan.

That’s just what I needed to hear and maybe you need to hear it too.

Jesus is our strength and we need to stop worrying and realize He is in control.

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1

Are you a worrier, do you need to be reminded today, that Jesus is your strength?

Fashion Tip~~Full eyebrows are “in” right now.

This gets very tricky for women over 40 because for some reason our eyebrows start thinning.

Three quick tips:

  • Don’t over pluck!
  • Use a color on your eyebrow that’s at least a shade lighter than your actual eyebrow.
  • For a more natural look use an eyebrow brush and eye shadow to add color and fill in your eyebrows.

  1. Cyndi, I am a big-time worrier too! And I I mean a stomach-ache inducing, anxiety-ridden, sleep-deprived worrier!!! God is working on me in this area, for sure. Thanks, as always, for sharing your heart. And quit calling your dad over to do your dirty work;)

  2. I must get me a copy of this devotional! And I am famous for having my eye brows waxed every few weeks! When mine are full they look busy, but that’s probably because I don’t know how to shape them!

  3. I am new to your sight (less than 1year). Love ALL of your posts!! You are so fresh and fun! LOVE it! I am not a worrier, at all! Sadly, I wish I did worry more. I’m very calm and ‘slow’ to react! I’m wondering if you have any advice: How did you handle daily devotion time with young ones? I have 5 under 8 and homeschool. It’s tough to find enough time and what time I do find, sadly gets used to catch up on laundry, cleaning or prepping for next meals! I’d love some advice 🙂

  4. I use Jesus Calling as well for my devotional times and am so encouraged by it! I’m thankful we serve a faithful God who forgives us daily for our many sins!

  5. My eyebrows already look like that picture. Yeah! I have never plucked them to done anything to them. I figured eventually they would come back in style. LOL!
