What I Wore~65th Wedding Anniversary

Good morning!

First, let me say how much I loved meeting all of you yesterday!

I continue to be amazed that so many of you stop by here.

It was so much fun to hear about you and your families. You are each precious!

Because of this blog I have had the pleasure of meeting women from

all over the world. Isn’t that crazy?!

Now, I want to share about our weekend celebration.

My mother and father-in-law celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.

It was a wonderful celebration! Wayne’s Mom has been very sick this year and so

it was extra special for the whole family to be celebrating this special milestone.

Here’s a picture of all of us:

Mr. and Mrs. Spivey have 3 married children.

6 grandchildren, 5 of them are married and 6 great grandchildren.

Wayne is the youngest of three children in his family. He was an “oops”! 🙂

I didn’t get a good picture of my outfit but I’m wearing royal blue jeans from JCPenney and

a very light coral shirt, also from JCPenney. I have never been a big fan of JCPenney

but since they have recently changed their store, I’m loving all their spring clothes.

Wayne and I with both of our children~~Cory and Courtney.

The rest of our sweet family. Chris and Courtney married in 2010 and Colt Allen

came along in 2011. (The wind was blowing Courtney’s hair so she doesn’t like this picture.)

We laughed a lot while taking this picture. These are the grandchildren.

There are 6 grandchildren, and each have a spouse,

except poor little Cory on the end (left, back row).

We decided to have fun with it and let him lay across the girls lap! He’s crazy!

In his defense, he’s the youngest grandchild, 24 years old, and is a second year law student.

He doesn’t need to be married yet, and I’m also one protective Mama!

We had a wonderful day celebrating marriage and family.

There were four generations represented and all four generations are passing down

a legacy of Christ! Praise the Lord!

Thank you all again for stopping by! Have a blessed day!

  1. What a fun post. You are so sweet to want to get to know your blog followers. I have been following your blog for several months now- I found your blog from reading your sister’s blog. 🙂 I am married to my high school sweetheart- for 17 years now. We have four kiddos- a daughter age 22, a daughter age 11, a son age 6, and a son age 5. I am a Registered Nurse, but I have been staying home full time for about four years now. I love to make our home beautiful and have recently been trying to get out of the “comfy mom” routine with my dressing. Thanks for being an inspiration in how to dress and also in my walk with God.

  2. What a BEAUTIFUL family!!! I bet your son won’t be single too long. But I agree and would be the same way! I have two boys who are still little, an 8 year old and a 2 year old with a 6 year old daughter in between. Our two was a big oops too!!!I TOTALLY get the protective mamma already!!!

  3. Beautiful family!! I’m currently trying to plan a 45th wedding anniversary/family reunion, I have 7 married siblings, there are 18 grandkids and it’s been somewhat of a challenge to organize. Your pictures made me realize I really need to go through with it.

You look great and I love your hair! What do you wash it with or put in it? I know some of it is hereditary because Traci and your daughter both have gorgeous looking hair too.

  4. Beautiful family. My youngest is 7 years younger than her next closest sibling, we call her a blessing we didn’t expect. She wasn’t planned but she wasn’t an oops.

  5. Congratulations to your in-laws, Cyndi… what a precious milestone. My grandparents will celebrate their 69th this Aug 🙂 What a blessing to have all those years together! Love all your pictures too… love family reunions!! 🙂 Have a wonderful Wed. Lots of love!

  6. Thank you for sharing this wonderful milestone in your husband’s family. So many lovely people, and a wonderful legacy that is being passed down.

  7. What a wonderful family! And it is awesome to hear that they are all serving the Lord and passing down a godly heritage! Oh, and I am sure your handsome son will have no trouble finding a wife when he is ready! The Lord will bring him the right one intended just for him when the time comes. And then the picture will be complete! (:>)
