A Special Day!

Today is a special day around here, because Colt Allen is turning one!

We’ve been planning his party for weeks and we can’t wait to celebrate. The decorations are up, the presents are wrapped, and the cake is made.

Colt Allen has been such a blessing! He was born two years after my Mom passed away and I needed this little baby boy.

I needed to laugh again, I needed his smile, his hugs and just the joy a baby brings to our everyday lives. I wish my Mom could see this sweet baby boy. She would be as in love with him, as I am!

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. James 1:17

Do you love babies as much as I do? Don’t you love seeing the world through their eyes?

Have a blessed Sunday!

  1. I adore babies! I need some grandkids. 🙂 Congrats to your precious son! I know how a baby can ease grief. My son was born a year after my brother died, and my son was such a balm to my family, esp. my parents.

  2. Happy Birthday to your little guy! I am also blessed with our first grandchild who is now 5 months old. I love her to pieces! Unfortunately we are separated by long distances, but I will see her as much as I possiblibly can. I just love rocking her and she is a real “cuddler”!

  3. He’s adorable! Happy Birthday, little guy!
We have 3 grandchildren. I tell them they are my 3 little buckets of sunshine! They always walk in the door smiling and who could help but smile back? It’s an instant dose of happy!
I’m sure you will enjoy celebrating Colt Allen’s birthday together. He sure is blessed to have you for his G’ma!

  4. Happy Birthday Little One! you are so precious and so loved. what a cutie patutie! Grandchildren are such a blesssing. The joy and love they bring with them straight from heaven fills our hearts and home. Our little Abel turned 1 on August 5 and our little Bennett will be 5 October 4, so hard to believe he is going to be starting Pre-K this year. They grow way too fast so enjoy each little moment with yours, Cyndi. Blessings!

  5. Happy Birthday Colt Allen! Grandchildren are such a blessing. My eleventh grandchild was born a week ago. At least four of them live within 20 miles so we do get some grandchild love on a regular basis, but would love for them all to be close by to spoil. I so glad you have your grandbaby to love on. : )

  6. Happy Birthday Colt Allen and aren’t you an angel face! What joy grandchildren bring to life. We just had a party at our house last weekend for our little grandson, Trip Avery. He turned 3, oh, how could that be?! I’m sure knowing that Colt was coming was such a lovely thought for your Mother to take with her on her heavenly journey. My dear Mother-in-law had three grand babies on the way when she when to meet her Savior. She, too, had a type of gastric cancer. Don’t you know the heavens rejoiced with “the great-grandmas” then when each of their special angels arrived to their children! As I sit here at my desk, I’m looking at a small painting my artist daughter painted for me. It has darling little whimsical children on it and at the bottom she painted: “Grandchildren: A Whole Other Kind of Love”. How true!
Enjoy your special party, Colt Allen, you are your Grandma’s “whole other kind of love”! Have a partying kind of day!!!

  7. Cyndi, have a wonderful day! I want a grandchild so bad, but my kids (daughter 29 and son 26) aren’t even dating anyone. 🙁
