Fashionable Christmas Coats

It’s Day 2 of my 12 Days to a More Fashionable Christmas and today it’s all about coats. Today’s coats not only keep us warm but also make a fashion statement.

The Khaki coat is a Tommy Hilfiger Hooded Toggle Coat. It’s a classic coat that can be worn for years. There’s also Calvin Klein Women’s Black trim coat, Tommy Hilfiger Women’s Hooded Toggle Coat in Black, Spiewak Women’s Alexandria Coat and Calvin Klein Single Breasted Coat in Burnt Orange.

Want to add some color to your wardrobe? Winter coats come in lots of colors and make even the dreariest days brighter.

Cobalt Blue is a fashionable color this season and I love this coat by Nicole Miller, Fit and Flare Coat in Cobalt. There’s also Calvin Klein Single Breasted Coat in Mustard, and Jessica Simpson Single-Breasted Walker Length Coat in orange.

Now for my favorite coat this season! It’s the classic trench coat. If you don’t have one, you need one (I don’t usually say that but that’s how much I love this coat!).

It’s perfect for cool days or add a sweater and scarf on cold days. It looks very put together even if you’re just running to the grocery store in your jeans but it’s versatile enough to wear with dresses for a more dressier look.

What’s your favorite winter coat? Do you have a classic trench coat?

  1. I have a lot of coats, but I lived in Montreal where you have to be warm and fashionable. None of these coats would be good for a quebecois winter if you wanted to stay warm unless you interlined it. At least there’s warmer wheather here in the midwest. My favorite current coat is a lavender single breasted anne klein with a little faux collar. It’s a nubbly wool and really uplifts my spirits in the drear weather. I do have a trench with a down lining, but haven’t worn it recently. Another great series.

  2. Love all these coats, any would be a great choice but I think I am going to put the trench at the top of my list! I had one long ago and did get so much use out of it – till I grew out of it ☺

  3. Your trench coat is so cool and you look so classy wearing it! Does it have a zip out lining. A trench has been on my list for quite a while now, they always look right. About 4 years ago I bought a hooded toggle coat from Talbot’s. I went out on a limb and bought a dusty medium blue. I have been so amazed at how much I have enjoyed that coat. It goes with everything and still looks brand new! I have it cleaned twice a year to keep it looking fresh and new. I have a variety of winter scarves in different colors which allow me to change up the look when I want to. I guess I should admit, that my husband spied the coat first while we were in the store and asked me to try it on, so he gets all the credit! I hope you’re being able to find some time for peaceful reflection this Advent during the crazy Christmas season. I’ve had to carve out a time in my day just for anticipating the birth of our Savior. I find that when I do that, I feel much less frenzied and think less about what isn’t done yet, because I know the best is yet to come! Be blessed, Judy

  4. Bought my first trench coat last year. It is a classic, so I know I’ll be able to wear it for years. I don’t really have the need for a “heavy” coat in GA winters. Most days I don’t really need much more than a sweater unless I’m spending a longer time outside. I really liked the Tommy Hilfiger hooded toggle coat and the Calvin Klein mustard coat.
