Favorite “Pins” Friday

Well if you follow me on Pinterest or if you have liked my facebook page, you probably know what I’m pinning today.

It’s January 18th and I’m finally getting in the mood to organize. It’s seems January 1 everyone hits it hard with organizational posts but I still had my Christmas tree up and I wasn’t ready!

Now. I’m. ready. and I’m tackling my clothes closet. I will share it with you when I get it done but for now I’m just looking for inspiration.

I’ve definitely got to find a way to organize my necklaces. I’m going to take a picture of the way I have them now and share it with you soon. It’s not good!

I’m hoping to get started this weekend on my closet organization. Wish me luck!

Do you have an organized clothes closet? Any “must haves” that you want to share with me?

Have a blessed weekend!

  1. Oh, and I have an old Antique garden rake (without the handle) that I hang my necklaces on…tied some nice looking ribbon on it and it looks very cool. I bought disposable BBQ trays (faberware) , weaved the same ribbon through the holes, to frame it, and have my earrings hanging on that. Makes for a nice matching set…looks great hanging on the wall.

  2. I just found you today! You are such a Blessing!
I have a very tiny closet in my bedroom, and a wardrobe (freestanding) in my spare room, so being organized is a must! I love those super flat hangers shown above, I have a bunch where you can cascade several hangers, like a waterfall…great space saver. I also have it color coordinated. Helps a bunch. Oh, and you inspired me to go through my makeup this morning…tossed a bunch! 🙂

  3. My side of the closet is extremely organized!!! I have everything organized by color and tops organized by color and length of sleeve. I have bookshelves from IKEA that I use as shoe storage, also organized by color/heel/style (sorry the only picture is on instagram as I haven’t gotten around to starting a blog). I also use the huggable hanger style hangers as you’ve mentioned before and I have to say those have really made a difference. I made a jewelry organizer out of an old shutter. My earrings hang on the slats and I added hooks around the perimeter for necklaces and bracelets. I try to organize my husband’s side… it never works for very long!!! Good luck with your organizing!!!

  4. My closet needs organizing too!! Any suggestions on how to organize handbags??? Maybe I just need to get rid of some 🙂 I like the photo with the teal tubs on top of the shelves…that may work to put handbags in, hmmmm??? But I am open to any suggestions. Can’t wait to see yours. Thanks for the motivation. Have a blessed weekend.

  5. I have a similar sized closet as the 2nd photo, but I share it with my husband and it looks NOTHING like that as far as organization. MY linen closet is the PITS it just isn’t big enough. TOO much in there.

  6. The “Huggable Hangars” shown in the first closet pic are on sale at Target this week- 10 pk for $6. That is a great price if you want to use them, and they are a great space saver!

  7. Hi Cyndi.

I am in desperate need of organization in my entire house! We have a small house and a very busy 3 1/2 year old, so there’s stuff everywhere. I, too, have been looking at Pinterest for inspiration.

Thanks for pushing us to get it done! Have a great weekend.

  8. Happy Friday Cyndi! The 2 pictures of the organized closets make my heart skip a beat. As many times as I have tried to organize my closet, it still looks like I let my 3 yr. old granddaughter organize it! I really like the idea of the boxes and I think they are not only pretty, but would be quite useful in my closet. I’m going to give it another “go”, not expecting mine to look like the pics yet, but maybe something close. Thanks for a great share! God bless you with a wonderful weekend!

  9. I have the container store shoe boxes in the third pic and love them! The men’s size are great for ankle boots and they also have a size for tall boots. Mine are all labeled with my trusty label-maker and it’s really working to keep my shoes organized. I’m also slowly switching over to the thin velvet hangers and am amazed at how much less space they take up. Hope to get more of them soon! Can’t wait to see what you come up with!
