It’s Wednesday and that means it’s What I Wore-My Style. Today I’m sharing what I wore in Chicago. The weather was cold so I was glad I took my spring cab coat. Of course a winter coat would have felt better!
I snapped this picture at the hotel before we left.
Spring cab coat-Macy’s, INC International ConceptsI wore this in Chicago as a casual outfit. Someone wrote me a very sweet email about how they loved my style but they wanted me to know I didn’t look good in glasses. Believe me, I don’t love my glasses either but unfortunately I can’t see without them. Sometimes it’s not about fashion but necessity!
Black blazer–TJ Maxx, Calvin Klein Black & white striped shirt-Macy’s, Michael Kors Skinny Jeans-Macy’s, INC International Concepts Shoes-Zappos, Anne KleinRemember last week when I shared this outfit? Something didn’t seem quite right with the shirt and the shoes so I changed it up a little, and I like this better.
Tan blouse-J Crew Cropped pants-The Limited Wedge shoes-Marshall’sI came back home and the weather was chilly here too! Do you think spring is ever going to get here?

OH my Joanne, I hope you like it!! I would love to see a before and after picture.
Blessings,
Cyndi
Linda, I ended up having my makeover at Sephora and started using the Cover FX foundation but I’m going to get to Bobbi Brown and try that gel eyeliner at some point.
Blessings,
Cyndi
Jane I don’t wear one, but I’ve been looking for one. I know they’re popular and it would add to my outfits.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Cyndi
Thank you Sandra!! I’m so glad I’ve been able to help!
Blessings,
Cyndi
Tiffany you would you hug your 10 year old for me!! 🙂
Have a wonderful Mother’s day!
Cyndi
Aww you’re welcome Beth Ann, accessories do make a difference!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Cyndi
You always look great, with or without glasses!!!! I even cute 7″ off of my hair and copied your hairstyle!!
You look great in glasses!
I love all your choices from Chicago, especially how you changed the one outit up by adding the coral wedges and bracelet. The nude ankle strap works!
I, too, need glasses and have worn gas perms since I was twelve. I know I look older in my glasses and they really define my look…I end up as a Sarah Palin clone when we don’t look at all alike. Thank goodness for multi-focal contacts…they’re amazing. I tried soft…terrible vision for someone very near-sighted. Glasses just can’t compare to the vision I have with contacts. You should consider them…they may take a week or two to get used to, but after that you won’t even notice them.
However, I think YOU look cute in yours so rock on!
I’m sure whoever wrote meant no harm. Some people just HAVE to voice their opinions.
hi cyndi. love love love the white coat!! i noticed it in ur previous post. someone gave me a gift certificate to macy’s and, of course, i hightailed it to the makeup counters last pm. when i was checking out the lastest at bobbi brown, i thought of u and wondered if you got ur spring makeover yet and how u liked it? and, if u were able to try to gel eyeliner and what u thought of it? inquiring minds…… wishing u a wonderful mother’s day!
Ditto to all the above comments on the glasses! Love them on you – sophisticated but yet a little fun and sassy! As someone over 50 who needs “readers” now I have them in many styles and colors and I think they add a fun touch to fun outfits! Keep up the good work – you are beautiful inside and out! Lori
I think your glasses are fine. I also think that glasses can be a fashion statement. I have more than one pair that I wear as an accessory with different outfits. Lets embrace glasses!
You always look great! Love the outfits especially the blue shoes! Keep inspiring us!
I disagree – you look great in glasses!
Cyndi,
It’s obvious that whoever made the remark about your glasses is completely outnumbered!!! You are beautiful with or without them!! I understand the necessity for them….I have worn loupes at work (fellow hygienist) and now have to keep readers by my computer too!!! Crazy! You keep all of us “40 somethings” inspired and informed! Thanks!!
You look lovely in your glasses.:). They are a classy choice, as is the rest of your wardrobe. Clear vision makes all the difference in the world and no one should have to worry about “not looking good in glasses.”
I’m glad you chose the sandals, that little pop of color makes all the difference! and you look great in your glasses!!!!
You look great in your glasses!!! Love the wedges!! We’re still waiting for Spring in Michigan too!
I love your glasses and your style! But I can’t wait to see your video on how to cover up those dark circles – you look amazing and I am hoping I can follow your how-to and do the same! Those wedges are super cute!
Isn’t it funny that once we turn 40 our eyesight changes!
You always look so great and put together. And I’m a bit annoyed at the glasses commenter. I love your glasses – so cute and sassy! I wear glasses every day and like to think that they are just another wonderful fashion accessory. 🙂
I love the wedges with the punch of orange…and the way you’ve added an orange bracelet. So cute! I like your glasses. Just curious…do you not wear a watch? I don’t see one in the photos…jane
I love all of the outfits you have shared with us today and I love your glasses. I think they look classy. You look great with or without them. I appreciate your website so much especially the daily devoitions that you share with your followers each day. You are such a blessing to me and you have helped me to step out of my box when it comes to my closet. Thank you
Hi Cyndi.
You look beautiful, as always. Unless the comment was made by the infamous Supermodel Giselle, I would not give it another thought. 🙂 I think you look just as beautiful with your glasses.
Love the outfits. Glad you had a fun trip.
Gina
I LOVE the way you look in glasses. Love. People are crazy. 😉
Your shoes are always perfection!
You look great girl! Chicago sounds fun!
Very nice outfits and I understand about the glasses, but I only wear them at work…I need to wear all the time but I don’t like them. Enjoy the rest of your week.
I also really like your look with the glasses!
I think you look very sophisticated with your glasses Cyndi… I’ve been wanting to tell you that but thought I comment too much. haha! But serious, I’m not just saying it! Love the blue flats.. and all the clothes. We are having gorgeous spring weather. Was just noticing last evening how tanned me and the kids are already! Have a wonderful day Cyndi. Lots of love!
As someone who use to wear glasses all the time, then switched to contacts and is now back to glasses, I am the same person behind the glasses and am like that sometimes it’s about looking smart and not just pretty… It’s two different me’s… I think your glasses do the same for you… Your outfits are wonderful, I especially love the wedge sandals with that bright pop of color!
You definitely have style girl! Love your look…and everything you pick out! AND you look adorable in your glasses! Have a delightful day!

My word, you look adorable in your glasses. How crazy. I love all the outfits. I was curious about the coat yesterday. So pretty 🙂
Oh, I love that last outfit, especially the sandals!
Love all your choices here. I thought the blue and black shoes looked cute with that outfit. I also think you look just as beautiful with your glasses as you do without. 😉
My 10 year old was looking over my shoulder while I was reading your blog. She saw the photo of you (in your glasses) and asked if you were a model. I think that means she thought you were very pretty 🙂
Hi Cyndi, I love your outfits! Especially the neutral with the shoe change! Great idea to use a shoe with a neutral strap and splash of color! I too love your glasses! I have been very near sighted since the second grade. I got contacts when I was 16 and love them but now have over 40 eyes with presbyopia and must wear at least some readers over my contacts. My husband just happens to be president of a company that make eye glasses:) Now, I still wear my contacts but also switch with several pairs of glasses, contacts with readers over them, and prescription sun glasses and sun glasses with just reading correction! I have several pairs to say the least:) I think they are absolutely a fashion statement as well as a necessity. I love them! Keep rocking your geek chic glasses! They look great on you! Blessings, Krista
I respectfully disagree, I love your glasses on you! So always look amazing and put together.
I can’t see without glasses either! I think you look fabulous, glasses or no glasses. It’s always better when we can see though.
That white coat is just gorgeous! And, I’m loving that last outfit.
Hope you have a great Wednesday.
~FringeGirl
I think you look amazing with your glasses or without! I think they are like a fun accessory and look really cute and stylish on! 🙂
I just realized that little bit of coral on your bracelet and that wedge really tied the entire outfit together in such a stylish way. Thanks for teaching me to pay attention to the accessories! 🙂
Oh please! Your glasses are super cute. I’ve worn glasses every day since my freshman year in college. I tried contacts for one day (it was awful) and a girl in my dorm said, “Oh you ARE pretty!!!” Instead of hurting my feelings it made me realize that some people just don’t have great taste or tact. I love that coat.
I think you look beautiful in your glasses! Please don’t give that another thought. Your choices are lovely, I especially love the eyelet pieces, so sweet, and the Marshall wedges are very pretty!
We actually had snow last week (SE Kansas). It’s been a very strange spring.
