What I Wore-My Style

Happy Wednesday! It’s What I Wore-My Style and our weather has been up and down this past week which shows in my clothes.

Sunday was warm so I wore this sleeveless dress. I took this picture in my recently painted home office. I’m still working on adding accessories, but it’s looking much better and I’ll share it with you when I get it completed.

Monday was a little cooler and we had dinner with friends. This cardigan was perfect for a cooler evening. I love the tiny flowers on this cardigan!

We had another mild day so I wore this lightweight 3/4 length sleeve sweater. I added my necklace from Francesca’t that goes with so many of my tops.  I purchased my handbag a few weeks ago, I like the neutral color and it’s a great size for me.

I love summer! But as far as clothes and fashion, I’ve realized, I like fall & winter clothes better.

What’s your favorite season and which clothes do you like wearing?

Beauty for the Heart~~“Life is not a straight line leading from one blessing to the next and then finally to heaven. Life is a winding and troubled road. Switchback after switchback. And the point of biblical stories like Joseph and Job and Esther and Ruth is to help us feel in our bones (not just know in our heads) that God is for us in all these strange turns. God is not just showing up after the trouble and cleaning it up. He is plotting the course and managing the troubles with far-reaching purposes for our good and for the glory of Jesus Christ.”  -John Piper

Have a blessed day!

  1. I think I would say fall/winter. I love to layer and wear scarves and boots. Beautiful sweaters is by far my favorite thing ever!!!!!

  2. I absolutely love the fact that you post your outfits. I don’t see any recent posts, however. I also love the fact that you’re a “real” person. You shop at stores we can all afford and you are very well put-together. Please don’t stop posting your outfits. We can all use inspiration!

  3. I’ve decided I’m a fan of fall/winter too as I love the layering challenges. The handbag looks fantastic and will be such a great addition to so many outfits.

Thanks for sharing with Wardrobe Wednesday – hope to see you again this week Cyndi xo

  4. Cyndi,
I absolutely love your style and your clothes! You have the perfect taste for those of us over 40! I just received my first Stitch Fix box today, but I wasn’t pleased with anything sent to me. I hope the next box I receive has some perfect items based on my style profile! I am in Texas, where in the summer it is super hot and humid, it’s hard to work anything into my wardrobe other than shorts, because it’s too hot!! Some ideas for styling with shorts would really help us southern girls!! I aways feel I’m stuck in a t-shirt or tank top! Thank you Cyndi!

  5. I’m not sure, that’s so tiny!! But you can email them and ask. They’re good about responding back.
    Thanks for stopping by!
    Cyndi

  6. Hi Cyndi,

I have a question for you. You look great in everything you wear. You have a trim figure which always makes everything look great. Do you have a place on your site where you talk about your diet and fitness routines?

    Thank you

  7. Cindy…I have enjoyed your site soo much! I am trying to “re-invent” myself, and you have inspired me! I used to like to blend in, but now I am trying to venture out and am getting many comments! Thank you and keep posting pictures and pins! 🙂

  8. Hi Cyndi! Those 3 outfits are so perfect! Each one of them is a great color on you. How do you discover colors that look so good on you…trial and error?…or do you just kind of know it when you see it? You’re always right on the mark. You look so darling in the cardi and white pants. Be blessed my friend.

  9. I love all three outfits! Your new bag is just what I’ve been looking for. Must get to Marshall’s ASAP to see if there are any remaining 🙂

  10. I love summer and could live in a swimsuit and sundresses 24/7 .However, I love jackets and unless I’m inside they’re just too hot here in the Ohio River valley. Mainly, the biggest problem with summer is that I can’t wear scarves for the same reason CTD!

  11. u look great in all the pics, but i love the first dress a lot. (especially the color). like you, i really like winter clothes better than summer as well. unlike you, i hate summer and i hate being hot. can’t wait to get out some pumpkins! ha. have a good week.

  12. You look great. Sweater with the little flowers is my favorite. I too like fall winter clothing better. Thx for sharing. Can’t wait to see your office 🙂

  13. You look beautiful in all of the outfits Cyndi. I love the dress, but also the cardigan sweater looks so cute on you (even cuter than when you oringinally showed it to us). I honestly could not say which season of clothes I like to wear best… hmmm… I think I find fall & spring the hardest tho’ as they are in-between seasons. Thx for the quote… love the truth that God is planning the course! 🙂 Have a blessed day… and if you remember, Cyndi, please pray for my precious Grandma. She isn’t doing too well and is in the hospital. Thx!!

  14. I love all of these ,especially the gray sweater with the flowers, a very special piece! I am doing a week of stripes in dresses and skirts and am wearing a striped dress today as well! Perfect very versatile Purse!

  15. Hi,
I did have a stitch fix question. I am a petite size 0. Are petite sizes available from stitch fix?
    Thanks
    Amy

  16. I just love your site. I have been following you for awhile but thought I would let you know! Your outfits are wonderful! And your Beauty for the Heart today spoke to me. God bless you! I hope you have a beautiful day!
