Traci was able to meet the child she sponsors through Compassion and his family. He is such a handsome young man!
She went to his home and as I looked at this picture, I noticed the dirt road they’re walking on to get to his home. It’s such a contrast to the paved road I drive on everyday to get to my house.
I’m so thankful for the ministry of Compassion International. By sponsoring a child we get to be the hands and feet of Christ. We can make a difference in a child’s life!
This is Jenifer, the child I sponsor in Peru. I keep this picture in my office and pray for that sweet face everyday. I recently got a letter from her with a picture she had drawn and I treasure it.
The words to this song say perfectly what we need to be doing. Here are the words to the chorus:
I will live
To carry Your compassion
To love a world that’s broken
To be Your hands and feet
I will give
With the life that I’ve been given
And go beyond religion
To see the world be changed
By the power of Your name
Because Christ has made a difference in my life and I want to share it with the world!
Where is Christ calling you to be his hands and feet?
Have a blessed day!

I’ve been following Traci’s journey to Nicaragua too and it’s so great to see your post as well. We sponsor a child also and hope someday to meet him. We are all working for ” the kingdom” so God gets all the glory!! Thanks for sharing Cyndi. I’m sure you must miss Traci very much…. Glad she coming home soon 🙂
Thank you so much for sharing this today. It has truly touched my heart when it needed touched. Thank you for being my Christisn sister and for sharing the heart of Christ.
What a wonderful post. i “sponsor” the daughter of my friend who is a single mother going through a nightmare of helping to heal this child after being abused by the father and choosing to stay home with her under meager means, rather than to leave her and go to work. I do this in honor of my mother who i watched help a neighbor’s child who went to foster care by buying her beautful clothes so she could see beyond her Alopecia… It’s about walking the path, not just saying you believe!!!!
