Favorite “PINS” Friday!

Wow! I’m so glad it’s Friday! Although I have a million things to get done this weekend  (okay that might be a slight exaggeration), I’m ready to start tackling them. I’ve been playing catch up all week since getting back from the Haven Conference. It’s now time to get caught up!

Today it’s all fall fashion, expect for the first “PIN”. The jewelry in the first picture was too pretty not to share!

For some reason this picture makes me think of Fall Festivals. Do you all have those where you live? I think this would be a perfect outfit to wear to one. Simple but cute!

I’m so excited about all the ideas I have for the fall fashion season. I’m thinking about participating in the 31 days series again in October. Last year I did Fashion & Beauty for Women over 40.

This year I’m thinking about Beauty Tips for Women over 40. Or 31 Days of Fall Fashion For Women over 40. What do you think? Any ideas?

  1. Going back and catching up on your blogs…I love them all….and I loved this one with all the outfits. I am ready for scarves too!!! I’m in need of vamping up my scarf collection. My fav being the scarf that my hubby bought for my birthday, two years ago, from Cracker Barrel and Old Country Store, Dry Ridge, KY. Maybe it’s time for another look see at another Cracker Barrel for another scarf. 🙂

  2. Cyndi, I always feel “fashion challenged” so I would love to see fall fashion suggestions. I do not have access to all the stores you mention but I love seeing how you put things together. Imagine my surprise last week I think it was, when you had a leopard print skirt, white tank, and a blue jean jacket and I have all three of those items in my closet but never thought about putting the jean jacket with the skirt but I’m excited to put it together to go out. I’m hoping the fashions that you post are also for us women “over 55” !! Enjoy your blog and look forward to your daily tips.

  3. I, too, would like to see some fall fashion featured now — so I can make a gradual transition into cooler weather and plan ahead for full on Autumn. How about some photos of fashion on models who truly are over 40?!? So many of the pins I see are lovely, but realistically not what I will be wearing to work, to volunteer at school or to attend church. I would find it helpful to see examples of casual, chic fashion that fits real 40-something life.

  4. Hi Cyndi,
How about some posts combining inexpensive ways of adding current fall color and trends, to our faces and wardrobes? 🙂 Maybelline already has some LE lipstick colors for fall? Scarves, jewelry,Target sweaters, tights? Most of us are on budgets and with kids going back to school, we may not have much to invest! We really appreciate your encouragement and practical enthusiasm!

  5. Hi Jen! I always love to meet fellow PW’s. I have always loved fashion but of course as a christian, I want to keep it in perspective. I hope I do that!
    Thanks for stopping by!
    Cyndi

  6. Yay!! so nice to meet you Penny! We’ve have lots of fun around here. I love sharing fashion for women over 40 and of course I share about our inner beauty too.
    Thanks for stopping by!
    Cyndi

  7. These are wonderful — and making me long for cooler weather! I love that the lines are more tailored but everything still looks so feminine. I would LOVE beauty tips — especially after seeing how gorgeous you are in person. 🙂

PS — moving my daughter back to school today; i would love your prayers if you think of it. xo hm

  8. well, since everyone wants the Fall Fashions, and I too think it would be wonderful but perhaps one day a week could be some special tips day for makeup and how to’s for challenges for fashion, makeup ETC

  9. Cyndi,
You will never know how much I look forward to your posts especially after a hard day.
Thanks for the inspiration…both fashion and faith.

  10. Fall is my favorite – I love fall colors, fall clothes, fall temperatures – everything except for school starting (I’m a teacher!). Actually, I love teaching but summers go too fast! Kind of like weekends do. 🙂 I would love for you to do Thirty-one Days of Fall Fashion. I’m ready for scarves too. I tried to wear one the other day but with the heat and my own personal summers (hormones), I had to take it off.

  11. Love that polka dot shirt with jeans and black bag, and my favorite is that entire look with the leopard print coat! I want it all! 🙂

Thanks for sharing. Although it was a hot 92 degrees here today, I am ready for fall fashion.

  12. Hate to see summer end, but I too love fall fashion. I so enjoy seeing all of your PINS and ideas. Keep them coming. Have a blessed weekend.

  13. Hi Cyndi,
I stumbled across your site by accident, and I’m so glad I did! I, too, am the wife of a pastor, and I’m so glad to find another PW who enjoys fashion. You have impeccable taste and wonderful ideas. I’m looking forward to catching up with your blog.
    Blessings!

  14. I also just found you on Pinterest. As a 49 year old, I’ve never really been into fashion. Whatever was inexpensive and did the job was what I wore. Needless to say, I’m out of the loop and your site is a blessing! Thank you for writing posts that I need.

  15. Ohh Cyndi I have to disagree with u hahaha … Soo not ready for fall and don’t want to see a scarf for another two months! Lol but I think it all has to do with the fact I don’t want to see our “babies” go back to school sniff sniff!

  16. I would love the 31 Days of Fall fashion for women over 40. I’m way over! 64! But I love to look good. I love the pins you posted today.

  17. I like both topics. You always give us good stuff, Cyndi! Love the pins today – they are extra cute this week.

  18. I found you last night on Pinterest. You are a God send. I always saw the young 20 something styles and wondered isn’t that toooo far. You have a style that is perfect for me. Thank you again from your new southern friend in Georgia!!

  19. Loved all your fashion Pins! Re-pinned a few to my board. Thanks for the ideas. Looking forward to the fall fashions. Fall is my FAVORITE season!!!

  20. Like many others, I love to see some fall fashion, with lots of casual everyday ideas. The gray fall festival sweater and pin are speaking to me! Love it!

  21. I dabbled in paganism years ago (disillusioned with churchianity for a time) and their ‘wheel of the year’ has autumn beginning in early august. This seasonal reckoning made so much more sense to me that it is the one thing I ‘kept’ from that period, so it’s nice to see you start thinking of the warmer fashions. That grey sweater pin is my fave – maybe with a cute pair of cowboy boots 🙂

  22. I would love to see 31 day of fall. I have a conference to go to in October for work and I need some inspiration. I really like the grey sweater with the rose pin. I was going to take a brown sweater I already own that is similar to consignment, but now I am going to keep it and get an ivory rose pin to wear with it. Thanks for the idea!

  23. Oh I’m excited for Fall Fashion also….(I can use all the help I can get!)
It’s my favorite season! Vacationing for 2 weeks in Colorado come September.. Can one be fashionable while hiking? You betcha!!

  24. I could use the help from 31 days of Fall Fashion….it’s an on going process for me to know what to wear as each year goes by and as each season comes along.
