5 Fabulous Fall Fashion Trends

5 Fabulous fall fashion trends

I’ve been looking at a lot of fall fashion over the last several weeks and I’ve found some items that I reeeeeeeally need want. These are my 5 fabulous fall trends that I’m going to try to purchase over the next several months.

All of these items are from Banana Republic and if I had the money, I’d walk in and buy them today. But that’s not going to happen. I might get one or two at Banana Republic, if I can find them on sale. More than likely, I’ll be shopping at TJ Maxx and Marshall’s and looking for items that are similar but at a much better price.

I’ve seen these animal print coats at several stores and I love them. If I don’t purchase it myself, I’ll add it to my Christmas list. In other words, I’ll buy it, wrap it, put it under the tree and put a gift tag on it that says, “To Cyndi, From Wayne”.

Leopard Print Coat

Short boots are everywhere too and I really like this style. I know some of you have said you don’t like them, but they’re growing one me.

Black bootie

Pointed toe flats are back and I’m wanting a pair of them. I love this classic look!

pointed toe flats

I love a blazer and this large striped one is adorable! I like the whole look of this outfit and would love to copy it.

Green striped blazer

Okay, I know it’s more animal print but can a girl have too much of it? I think not.

What do you think about these fall fashion trends? Which ones are your favorite?

Did you see my video of my favorite beauty products I’ve been using this summer? If you missed it, you can go here.

Beauty For the Heart~~I found this quote in one of my Mom’s Bible’s. “There is no nobler occupation upon earth, no higher calling than that of being a mother, a true mother.”  She didn’t have the author of the quote written down. The quote made me smile, she was such an incredible mother and I miss her so much!

Have a blessed day!

  1. Cyndi, I absolutely love your blog! I really love the leopard print jacket and those boots are cute too. I also really like blazers. The only thing is I try to keep on a strict budget when it comes to buying clothes. So if I see something at J Crew, I wait for a good sale, but sometimes you can find similar looks at places like Old Navy. This season, camouflage is in and they have a cute camouflage jacket I’m dying to purchase. You can match it with just about anything!

  2. That’s funny, I don’t think anyone at my church would say anything ( at least not to my face 🙂 ) They know me pretty well!
    Blessings,
    Cyndi

  3. As least he does wrap it. This year for my birthday my husband did by my gift (of course I had to take it back) but he didn’t wrap it. He hates to wrap!! 🙂
    Blessings,
    Cyndi

  4. I love all of these trends Cyndi! I even like the short booties, although the heels may be a bit high for me;) I have actually been thinking about you and your exchange students. To make a long story short – my husband and I moved to SC to attend grad school. We were unsaved and God placed some women in my life (whom I met at the gym) who befriended and prayed for me for several years. My husband and I were saved and baptized together in SC and our daughter accepted Jesus Christ a few years ago. I will pray for you and your new girls. Sometimes God has to take us out of a place where we are comfortable in order to find him. Blessings! Susan

  5. Love the animal print jacket and I like the boots too! Not a big fan of the flats. The car ads were popping up with me too. Glad to read your changing your ad network. Hopefully you won’t have the problem any longer 🙂

  6. Hi Cyndi.

Love the fall fashion trends! I love animal print, but it doesn’t look so nice on me, so I kept it to a pair of ballet flats. I will most likely get a pair of pointed toe flats as well and maybe an animal print belt. Check out 6pm.com for some coats…Michael Kors…Calvin Klein. 🙂 Of course I love the ankle boots! I bought a pair recently, but I plan to get another pair with the cut-out trend…when I find the right pair at my price. I bought a cute black blazer from H&M. They have cute things at great prices. Happy Shopping! 🙂

P.S. I wish my husband would let me buy something I want and put it under the tree, but he will not. He’s so funny. He asks me for a list, but then he will not buy anything on the list. 🙂

  7. I love the animal prints….and I am mid forties. Especially love the jacket! The boots are great, not really into pointed flats. Blazers always make me feel stuffy…probably because I don’t have a great pair of jeans to pair it with. Anyway, love these looks…some just aren’t for me personally. I did recently get a chevron print dress in a recent Stitch Fix “fix” and love it! I think it is the first striped thing that I have ever purchased! Gonna rock it into the fall with a pair of great looking short boots and a pair of leggings. Whoot!

  8. I think if you’re tall and thin you can pull off anything. My boys made such a big deal over my leopard coat, I would never wear the pants. I love the jacket though!

  9. I, too, love jackets. I love them both. I wear animal prints in shoes and handbags, but never on my rear end. 🙂

I bought a pair of pointed toe flats this past spring at JCPenny when it was too cool for sandals and too warm for boots. I really like the way they look. I’m not sure short boots would look cute on me, but I will give them a try. Since I am hippy, i think they would be cute with a dress that glides over my hips.

  10. Love the flats! I’ll be looking for similar ones. I also love the blazer – I’m a jacket girl myself!

  11. Cyndi,
My husband is all too happy when I buy presents for myself “from him.” He gets a deer-in-the-headlights look when it comes to shopping for anything other than tools. Love the way you think! Gift giving is not his area! I, too, may look for some animal prints, but as a PW in a style conservative congregation, I’m not sure it will go to church with me.

  12. I’m loving it all except the leopard print pants. I think they are a bit much for me. 😉 although, I do think they would look super cute with the short boots!

  13. Do you do the half-tucked look (Like in the blazer pictures?) I think it’s so cute but would worry if I tried it would just look very messy. Do you think it’s age appropriate for 40+ ? 🙂

  14. Those pants are so cute but I don’t know if I’d have the nerve to pull them off. Have you seen the Issa Collection at Banana Republic? There are some tops in that collection that I’d love to get. If they go on sale.

  15. I like most everything but the leopard pants seem to be a bit much in my opinion. I guess I’m old fashioned or something…I’m glad for those who can pull it off though. Thanks for what you do!

  16. I am really glad that you are doing my Fall shopping for me. I do not always know what is in style. So Thanks for doing the work for me. LOL!!!!!!!! I can’t wait to see where you find the leopard print coat. I would love one but do not have a lot of extra money. I know you will find a GOOD deal on one and tell us about it. Thanks for all you do for your followers. I love the leopard print pants but not sure about wearing them myself. But I may try, especially since you say that women over 40 can wear them.

  17. After 30 years of marriage I have finally learned to pick out my own gifts but my husband wraps them . He always adds some things too. I love the blazer but would t wear the animal prints myself

  18. Loving the leopard coat, that has been on my radar for awhile, Hopefully this is the year I get one!! Love the flats as well. Always fun to see what others are wanting for the new season.

  19. I literally laughed out loud at the “to Cyndi from Wayne” Oh, our sweet hubbies…I know mine is GREAT at a lot of things…shopping for me is not on the top of that list 🙂 but I love him! I love the animal print coat! I have one that I bought last year and always get compliments every time I wear it. And the shoes…Love them! I have lots of flats but have not gotten into the ankle boots, but I think they would be a great addition to my wardrobe this fall. Have a great week!

  20. I love the animal print coat and the flats. And to Kerri, I would say that women over 40 can ABSOLUTELY wear animal print! I laughed about the gifts that you buy for yourself. One time I did that and my husband saw it and on Christmas morning, he had changed the tag and it said, “To Lori From Lori!” We all had a good laugh over that!

  21. Leisa I hate those car ads and before you even wrote this comment I emailed my ad network this morning and asked them AGAIN to remove them. They were supposed to be gone weeks ago. Needless, to say my contract is up with this particular ad network on Sept. 15th and I will not be working with them any more. I am so sorry, I promise I’m working to get all this fixed.
    Thank your for stopping by!
    Cyndi

  22. Hee hee I didn’t know any other woman did her own shopping, wrapping, and tagging from her hubby to herself….as I do?? LOL Last year I ordered a photography book, it came in, I didn’t open it up, just wrapped it up and added the tag from my hubby to me!!! That works for me!! 🙂 I get what I want and he has a surprised and proud look on his face all at once when I open it saying it was from him and then make over it with glee!!!

  23. Hi Cyndi,

I am loving those! I love leopard and can’t wait to wear my big thick leopard coat. I am hating those car ads on your photos. If I hover too long, they open up. I don’t like car shopping. Any way to lose them?

  24. I love the shoe trends…and the blazer but is animal print good for women over 40? I used to wear animal print but gave it away…Now I’m wondering about purchasing more.???

  25. Love them all…especially the animal print coat and pants. I can’t seem to get enough of the animal prints either! The short boots are fabulous and would go with so much. I have a couple of similar pairs and find they look great with pants, jeans, skirts with tights, etc. May have to add these to my wardrobe. 🙂 I love this post, Cyndi!!

  26. I like animal print, but because I am petite (5’2″ 105 lbs) I find that I look like a caricature when I wear it in any way other than subtle enhancements, ie: belt, ballet flats… Can’t wait to see pics when you get it all pulled together, though!

  27. I love them. ..just don’t feel that I can pull them off. While I’m not overweight, I don’t feel petite enough to wear them. Plus as a stay at home mom, I dont have anywhere to wear them.
