What I Wore-Casual Summer Fashion

Happy Hump Day! I‘m so glad you stopped by. Today I’m sharing some very casual summer fashion.

It’s that time of the year, when I’m tired of all my summer clothes. Do you all get that way? I’ve worn everything over an over and I’m ready for something different.

I’ve also started another project at my house and it’s about to get the best of me! After going to the Haven Conference a few weeks ago and everyone raving about Annie Sloan chalk paint, I decided I had to try it.

What was I thinking? This is my unfinished dining room hutch. I’m not totally liking it yet and I may have to call in an expert, my sister Traci (please don’t tell her I called her that!). Here’s what it looks like today. I really want to get this finished by Friday!

Anyway, in between my paint clothes I wore these outfits. I’ve been so busy this week I only snapped two pictures. I love a white t-shirt with jeans but I like to dress it up a bit so I added a summer scarf and some silver jewelry.

I’ve bought several things this year from The Limited.

I’m trying to go through my closet and pull out things I haven’t worn all summer and wear them before it’s over. Maybe I’ll find some new outfits!

This is a great time to buy summer clothes! Have you found any great end of summer sales lately?

Have a blessed day!

  1. You and Traci are too cute!! Looking forward to fall clothes too! Did you ever finish your office? Looking forward to seeing that 🙂

  2. Love the hutch! Looks great! Cute outfits, too. I’m right there with you on being tired of summer clothes. I even admit I’m a bit tired of flip flops and that’s a first for me. Ready for fall!

  3. Hi Cyndi.

Love the outfits. You look so classic and chic. 🙂 Good luck with the project.

I found a cute fall blazer at H&M for $10 and some leopard print ballet flats for $13.

Hope the rest of your week is amazing. 🙂

  4. Hi Cyndi,
I have wanted to try the chalk paint, also, but have yet to do so. Check out the blog “Blue Egg Brown Nest”. Christen has a business that she runs from her home using the chalk paint. Her blog will give you many pictures, but there are also tutorials.

Good luck! Hope you like your end result!

  5. I’m a little tired of summer clothes now too. I’ve purchased some things lately with all the good sales going on. Got two new pairs of jeans that I can’t wait to wear but it will have to cool off alot!

You look great in both outfits. 🙂

  6. I love your hutch! I’m thinking of painting mine. Haven’t used the chalk paint before. As far as deals, I got a great deal at Kohl’s this weekend. Between Kohl’s cash, Kohl’s birthday coupon, and a regular coupon I got a pair of black pants, a houndstooth tank top(AL fan here), and a little sterling silver bracelet with the word “believe” on it, all for 8.97, tax included. I was thrilled. Now I’m looking for a crimson colored cardigan to wear with the outfit. Love your white t-shirt/scarf with jeans. That’s a fave of mine too. I am obsessed with scarves. Just bought some fabric to make infinity scarves as gifts. Happy hump day! Enjoy the rest of the week.

  7. Love the hutch..Great job! I’m not quite ready to give up my summer clothes, but I did get an awesome buy on some fall black jeans…$7.20 on the Kohl’s sale rack 🙂

  8. I’m impressed with your home project! Can’t wait to see the finished result. And I’m with you…. ready for fall clothes. Though that may be as a result of weight gain and ready to hide under big sweaters :). Both outfits you shared are super cute… Love looks like that bc they are comfy but also stylish!
