Happy Labor day! Isn’t it great to have a day off from work (I’m hoping you have the day off)? Of course, even though I’m home today there’s lots of work I need to do around my house. Yuck!

I’m going to do some organizing and cleaning and then we’re headed to a birthday party for my Dad. I thought I’d share some fall fashion inspiration with you today. I would love to add similar looks to my fall wardrobe.

Here are 8 Fall Outfits To Inspire You. These are some of the hottest trends of the season!

This is from Ann Taylor and like the navy and black combination. I also like the oversized handbag.

This is also from Ann Taylor and of course I love that animal print skirt.

One of the hot trends this fall is the houndstooth print. I love, love, love it!! This outfit is from Banana Republic.

Houndstooth

I picked this top because of the faux leather on the shoulder. Leather is a hot trend but I probably won’t be sporting all leather pants but I could definitely pop it on my shoulders. (I’m not sure where I found this.)

The military look is “in” and I’d love to add a blazer like this to my fall wardrobe. (I’m not sure where I found this jacket.)

Stripes are still popping up everywhere and this dress is adorable. This is from White House Black Market.

We’ve talked about burgundy being a hot color for fall but teal seems to be another must-have color this fall. This outfit is from White House Black Market also.

Oh my, I love lace! This is a trend I could really get use to. This top is from Ann Taylor.

I love most of the fall trends this season. They still seem to have a very feminine look, which I like.

Which of these trends inspire you the most? Have you picked any of them up?

  1. Such great Fall fashion Cyndi! They are all so chic! Don’t know why, but I am so drawn to the Banana Republic outfit, the skirt is such a nice surprise and I LOVE that jade green top! Also, I’ve got to have that teal jacket! The cut and styling of it, plus those smart silver buttons just say “buy me!” Teal is the one color that I’m complimented on every time I wear it, it is my “go to”. Thanks for the fun glimpse of what we can look forward to! Be blessed!

  2. Animal print….always a yes for me…in moderation of course. 🙂 Just picked up a cute pair of fall boots and will be wearing them with some cute crocheted boot cuffs I have been making in fall colors. Love the teal….looks great on most skin tones because it work on gals who can handle blue or green tones. Love houndstooth and always have….not loving the emerald green that is everywhere though…..TOOOOO much for me. I am an Independent Distributor of a high fashion jewelry line and I work for a national paint company and have sold paint for over 25 years….all that being said, I wanted to share that I love to keep my wardrobe basic/neutrals and then add a little pop of color or texture for interest. I dress like I decorate, I guess you could say! LOL! Aside from the emerald green….I look all that I am seeing for fall. 🙂 Love your blog, BTW!

  3. Hi Cyndi.

I love fall fashion! 🙂 Will definitely embrace the blue/black combo, faux leather look on clothing, the color burgundy, and boots, boots, boots! 🙂 I’m looking for some awesome faux leather pants now. Kohl’s had some cute tops yesterday with faux leather at the shoulder.

    Thanks for sharing. 🙂

  4. I love the herringbone outfit. I actually got a green peplum shirt similar to the one pictured. I need the skirt! I’m so ready for cooler temperatures!

Great outfits. Thank for the inspiration. Keep it coming!

  5. I’m enjoying the day with my family…. LOVE a Monday off! I’m starting to pull fall decorations –> Love love the season and am ready to get it started. Thanks for the inspiration ideas for fall clothing! Time to start deciding what things need added to my closet…. If only the weather would cooperate. 🙂 Have fun celebrating with your dad!

  6. I have also been wanting to try the leather trend. I have seen a few leather tops that I think I could work into my wardrobe without looking like an 80s hair band groopie!! Thanks and blessings! Susan

  7. Love the fall trends! I so don’t like to shop, so love it when you show us where you bought something and how to put it together…..especially if I can just go on line and buy:) Your blog is my favorite for fashions for 40 year plus women. Thank you!
