Favorite Pinterest “PINS”- Winter Fashion

It’s Friday and that means I’m sharing some of my favorite Pinterest “pins” with you. Since most of us have been dealing with some pretty cold weather, winter fashion is the theme.

Here’s some fashion inspiration for you!

Do you all have anything fun planned this weekend? I really want to go see a movie!

Beauty For the Heart~~How would life change if, before we made decisions, we would ask God, “Is this your plan for my life?” – Jim Cymbala

Have a blessed day!

  1. Thank you so much. I never think of Gap and yet they have really great clothes for all ages. Glad to see the word ‘chambray’ as I can never think of that and knew denim wasn’t correct. I appreciate your hard work with first graders as well as your kind words about librarians. I miss the babies very much.

  2. Part of my earlier reply seems to have been cut off. I went on to say that I ordered a chambray shirt from Gap and enjoy wearing it.

  3. Congratulations on your retirement! I’m a first-grade teacher, and I know how important librarians are! I am also 61, so I know what you’re saying. Try Gap.com. I hadn’t thought of looking there as I thought of that as a store for my daughters.

  4. I got a denim shirt at JCPenney this fall which I am styling like those in the Pins… You can probably find online or in store 🙂

  5. Great outfits. I am so in love with those plaid scarves especially the red one! I wear a scarf almost every day and so I can never have too many. ::)
No real plans for the weekend. I’m just glad it is the weekend. This first week back after Christmas break has been a killer. The hubs and I went to dinner tonight and Target – that was date night. HA!
    Have a great weekend!

  6. Hi Cyndi…
I am enjoying my first week of retirement after working 25 years as a public school librarian. This fall, before I made the final decision to retire, I bought some updated autumn clothes inspired by your great taste and suggestions on Fashion for Women over 40. I have seen several cute outfits featuring a long sleeved, button down, “denim?” shirt like the ones above. I would love to find one of these shirts but never see them in the stores where I shop! Am I shopping in the wrong stores? Please point me in the direction of a store or online shop where I could purchase one of these in a medium or large, size 10. Thank you! And thank you for helping me feel fashionable and trendy even at 55!

  7. Hi Cyndi.

I love the plaid scarf, red boot, distressed jean look you pinned. That’s something I would totally wear…all of it! I love the pin of the girl in the tan coat with the glasses. Her hair is awesome. 🙂

Sadly, my hubby does not like movies. I love movies, but since I have a 4 year old that will not stay with anyone else, I’ve only seen two movies at the theatre since she was born. That is pathetic, isn’t it? LOL

Hope you have a great weekend. Thanks for sharing.
    Gina

  8. LOVE all these looks this week although none of them look like really cold weather wear. Maybe they’ll be good for this coming seek’s thaw-out! Are you sure the last model isn’t you! She’s a total look-alike.

  9. I just got new glasses that look just like the ones in your last pic, LOVE! They were called, “nerdy chic”. :O)

  10. Great pins!! Live them too. I would live to see Mr. Banks. Frozen was great with my 12 yr old daughter and friends. Have a great weekend.

  11. thank you for posting these pins! so inspiring. My husband and I went to see Saving Mr. Banks…can’t say how much we loved this movie. My husband said he was so glad he saw it. He and I usually don’t have the same tastes when it comes to movies! A must see!

  12. Love all these looks. Love the red boots and red plaid scarf for some goofy reason. Unfortunately I live in the Chicago suburbs, so I love anything with a scarf. You can never have too many scarves. I’m going to the movies this weekend w/ my hubby. I don’t know what one. Hope you have a good time.

  13. I leave for a 3 week mission trip to India tomorrow. My movie will be on an international flight and my wardrobe will look a bit different for a while. And I really enjoy your Beauty for the Heart! Blessings.

  14. Love every one of these looks, great layering and casual! Frozen is definitely Disney at it’s best… bought my daughter the sound track for Christmas the music is phenomenal and topping charts recently….
Have a great night and weekend!

  15. Loved Frozen and Saving Mr. Banks!!! I agree that Frozen was adorable and the acting in Saving Mr. Banks was superb! Thank goodness for some films without a bunch of foul language and inappropriate content!! Yay! I love all of these fashion looks, Cyndi! I’ve been debating the poncho look but think I may give it a try! Happy Friday!!

  16. Cyndi,
I seriously need to go shopping! My winter wardrobe is very sparce. I don’t enjoy bundling up because it makes me feel thick and restricted. Lol. My very first Stich Fix is in the mail and should arrive maybe today. 🙂 thanks to you for introducing me! ( if i get it on a friday and need to return anything, do i have till monday?)
We have recently seen the movies: The Hobbit, Saving Mr. Banks and Frozen. All of them are good! If you like animation, Frozen was ADORABLE. Enjoy a great date night!!
