Hi friends! Today is What I WoreFashion for Women Over 40. I’m absolutely giddy because I was able to get outside and take my pictures this week!

This porch swing has been covered in snow most of the winter. I love sitting out here (my sweet daddy made this swing and it was on my parents porch. Mom use to sit on it often. I.treasure.it!)

Here are some of the outfits I wore this week.

It’s amazing what a little warmer weather and sunshine does for my mental state! Ha! Have you had any pretty weather lately?

Beauty For the Heart~~Okay, winter isn’t gone, we have cold weather heading back tomorrow. But this verse reminds me that spring is coming!

Look! The winter is past. The rains are over and gone. Flowers are appearing on the earth. The season for singing has come. The cooing of doves is heard in our land. Song of Solomon 2:11-12

Have a blessed day!

  1. Thank-you so much for the inspiration. I am 41 and know nothing about clothes and fashion and your website is just what I need!

  2. Love your style. I am a nurse, mostly live in shrubs. I have to attend a conference, business casual. I was planning on wearing khaki ankle pants, printed blouse and closed toed brown embossed leather shoes, with a little wedge. Is it appropriate to go without hose?

  3. What brand are the jeans from stitch fix? The link takes me to the site but not the jeans. Love your style. I’m 58 but I think I can use your style for inspiration. Blessings yo you!

  4. I absolutely LOVE the fact that you dress so cute and age appropriate! Its nice to see someone in my age range giving tips for real women!

  5. LOVE the outfit you are wearing on the porch swing and what a treasure you have from both your Mom and your Dad. Hoping to head to Target soon to see what I can find. I’m so ready for lighter weight clothes. You look great in your “casual” wear and what else would one wear when enjoying a walk on trails. It’s a “must” to be comfortable and wear comfortable shoes.

  6. I enjoy your blog so much. Need some advice…..son getting married in June …evening wedding…outside charleston sc. What do you suggest to wear? Thanks

  7. Love your whit and tan look! You look to cute and on trend. Those skinny jeans you have on with the coral top are super flattering on you. 🙂

    Thanks for sharing with us.

  8. Yes, ma’am same Shaker Village!! I live about 5 minutes from Shaker Village. We live in Harrodsburg. 🙂

  10. The anniversary of my mother’s passing is around the corner and I was really touched by your porch swing built by Dad that brings memories of your mother….I love the coral with the mint, so vibrant and pretty…

  11. These are all great. We were experiencing Spring….and then the snow is back =0(
When you said you were hiking at Shaker Village—I grew up from 4th grade through high school in Danville Ky. So wondering if this is the same Shaker Village. Love that place! Have taken my husband and our children there to visit. Such a beautiful area all around there. If not – it was a fun trip down memory lane this morning! Bless you!

  12. Thanks so much for the inspiration! I’m a “watch” girl and I couldn’t help noticing your watch Where is it from?

  13. You cutie! Your outfits are all great. Love the jeans pic in the swing. Also, you make work-out clothes look good. I need to work on mine.
