It’s Friday and what a week! As my Mom would have said, “My heart is full”. We had a wonderful day yesterday full of celebrations and now I’m tired! Of course we have a busy weekend ahead so no rest for the weary.
I loved all your comments about maxi dresses yesterday. Some of you were wondering about wearing them if you’re petite. You definitely can but wearing a wedge heel will help elongate your look. Also, don’t wear large patterns or stripes. Keep the design simple with a small frame.

Hi Sweet Cyndi…Gosh, I just want one of these maxi dresses or skirts so much! My hair stylist has a small boutique in her salon. She called me last week to tell me she had gotten some new maxi styles in and I needed to try some on when I got my hair cut yesterday. We had been talking about a maxi skirt she had on at my last appointment. So, I tried a dress on first. I came out in it and she said, “Go…take it off!”. Then she found a maxi skirt and top and I tried those on. I came out and she told me that the colors were beautiful, but that I was so short, I just looked “squatty” in a long dress or skirt. I knew she was right, I kind of felt “squatty”. She said she thought I should stick to ankle length flowy or broomstick skirts. There go my maxi dreams. I realize that not every style is right for every body, but we can always wish. Have a blessed and happy weekend!

I am going to ask for my very first maxi dress in my Fix next month! I am so excited! This is our first full weekend at home since Christmas! Our daughter dances out of town almost every day. So we are doing yard work, grilling, cleaning, and getting ready for a garage sale(: Happy Friday! susan
These maxi dresses are great! I agree with you, the gold metallic sandals are sweet. I also noticed Northeast Girl had an envelope clutch purse. They are so cute.
Maxi dresses are AMAZING. I call them instant outfits. Throw on a pair of sandals and a cardigan or denim jacket if it’s a chilly day and voila! Those J. Crew gold sandals are just perfect. Have a wonderful weekend!
