Summer Fashion-Casual Dress

Today I’m sharing some summer fashion with Golden Tote. It’s day 21 of 31 days of summer fashion!

I’ve shared about Golden Tote before. This month I ordered a $49 tote and one of the items I received was this dress. I love the style and the color of the dress but I’m not sure it’s that flattering on me. I may giving it to my daughter.

I think it would be cute with a long silver necklace but I don’t have one, so I added big earrings.

I also wanted to show you some pictures from a blogger friend of mine. Becky blogs at Organizing Made Fun. She’s a dear friend! She loves to organize her wardrobe with Pinterest.

Here are some pictures of outfits she’s put together using her Pinterest boards. She did a post about it here.

red and coral top

striped skirt with belt

striped shirt with white pants

Pinterest is such a great way to get outfit ideas! Do you use Pinterest to help you style outfits?

Have a blessed day!

  1. I think you should “loan” the dress to your daughter if she would like to wear it sometime, but it looks great on you so I vote to keep it!!!!

  2. The dress is very cute on you! I agree with a couple of the others about trying a different sandal. Maybe a slide, non-wedge. The way the dress is made, I’m sure it will feel good today in these 90+ temps. 😉

  3. The dress is darling and looks very boutique…keep it! Would a Cobalt Blue statement necklace help balance the outfit? I’m not sure but the dress is very flattering! I use Pinterest from outfits to entertaining to Grand-kiddo things to do! Like your friend, I’ve used Pinterest to put a few copy-cat outfits together. It’s been useful in finding my style and often helps take the guess work out of coordinating an outfit! Pinterest has inspired me to dig into my closet and use things I would never have thought to put together! I agree, it can be a time-stealer but often it’s a time-saver from endless shopping for just the right idea! I learn so much from you Cindi and all these gals who comment! 😉 Thank you!

  4. Cute dress! I’d keep it. 🙂

I love Pinterest. I find great ideas for everything from my classroom to fashion. I don’t know how we lived without it! HA!

  5. You look adorable, red is a great color for you. I think you could wear burlap and you’d look great! 🙂

  6. That dress is so cute on you Cyndi! I too love Pinterest and have found so many fun ideas for outfits, as well as for decorating my home on a dime! Blessings!

  7. I like the dress and the shoes. I require larger sizes and avoid dresses that are that striking and remember able and say I am wearing this dress again. As for Pinterest, I follow lots of folks and boards but try to limit my visits as absolute hours can disappear all too quickly anyone else have this challenge. ???

  8. Very cute! I use Pinterest ALL.THE.TIME!! It’s how I’ve learned to put stylish outfits together. I have many of your outfits pinned on my boards. We SO have the same likes in fashion! 🙂
    Thanks for your blog!
    Blessings!

  9. I think I would like with a different shoe. Maybe a flatter strappy sandles. But the dress is very cute on you.

  10. I agree, the dress looks good on you 😉 ….. It’s nice that you can share it with Courtney too.

  11. Cute and easy to slip on……..I agree keep the dress! You can always “share” with your daughter. So happy that she’s getting settled in her own place and ready for the next chapter in her life…praying!

  12. I think that’s one sweet dress! And BTW count yourself blessed that you and your daughter can wear the same size!! Lol

  13. That dress looks wonderful on you! I think it’s one of those can’t see the forest for the trees things–you’re too close to the situation. 😉 Try wearing it to church–I bet you get lots of compliments.

I have been busy pinning away on Pinterest this summer so that I can determine my “style”. I’m discovering that I really have a thing for navy striped tops and scarves…

  14. That’s a very pretty dress, and it certainly looks nice on you! Of course, speaking as a teacher here, you could let your daughter borrow it to wear to her Open House event when she meets her students and their parents!

  15. I love your dress and think it looks great on you.

Pinterest is addicting, I go to it for everything! I just had my husband helping me this past weekend to installed the pull out shelve in my pantry (of course when looking for a solution to my problem…pinterest is where I got the idea). lol
