31 Days Of Fall Fashion (Day 9)

It’s Day 9 of my 31 Days of Fall Fashion and this months seems to be flying by!

One of the things I talk about a lot around here is having some basic pieces that you can easily put together.

31 Days Of Fall Fashion (Day 9)
My basic pieces are a denim jacket, leopard print belt and a neutral top. My jewelry consists of classic pieces such as gold hoop earrings and my Stella & dot necklaces and bracelets. ( My colored jeans are from Ann Taylor)

For fun, I added these wedge booties from Rack Room Shoes (I walked in wet grass right before I snapped these pictures, I know, I’m brilliant!)

I love wedge heels. They’re comfortable but give me some height which always helps to give a slimmer look.

Do you have basic pieces in your wardrobe that you can easily put together?

Have a blessed day!

  1. Cindy, I too am only getting your e-mail outfits about once a week! Would love to get every day…. Love your style! Thanks, Linda

  2. I would like to receive your post everyday , can you help me with this? I only receive it about once per week. Love your fashion!

    1. I don’t know why you’re not receiving them every day. I deleted your email address and re-added it.
Let me know if that helps. If not, I’ll email Mad Mimi.
      Blessings,
      Cyndi

  3. Darling as always! I bought a real comfortable pair of wedge booties last week. The brand is DV and the name of them is Fabian. They come in black, charcoal and taupe suede. They are a little pricey but since I usually just buy one pr each fall they were worth it and comfort is certainly important for this gma! Nordstrom and Dillards have them as well as several online shoe sources. 🙂

  4. I tried to navigate the site where you got your booties but had a hard time coukdnt find tgese or the other boots you had on here a couple days ago….sad:(

  5. As always Cyndi you look so good! Thank you for sharing these 31 days of October with us! I was really happy to see this today, I have everything in my closet to pull this off! I would love to wear it tomorrow, but our weather here is still too warm in Houston to wear it just yet. I will file this away to wear as soon as we get a cool day!!

  6. I just found your site and I love all the positive information .Walking in His Grace is an awesome title. I’m 60 years young and have purchased my first pair of leggings ….my adult daughters encouraged me to get them and I need help on how to wear them respectfully and stylist. I will continue to keep in touch and lift you and your family up in prayer. Peace.

  7. Mary, I have a black pair with bling on pockets from Chico’ s from several years ago. They fit so good but I have put them in goodwill bag. I think plain jeans are in now. So my opinion from Mary to Mary. Ha Cyndi that is great outfit.

  8. nother outfit that makes you look like a kid! And slenderzing to boot!
I used to have a pair of shoes very similar…one of the few I got rid of thinking their trend had passed. Oh well.
Mary, I like a little bling, but I think it may depend on the amount and one’s figure, or rather one’s goals. It does accentuate the derriere so if that’s OK, go for it. Just not too much, but then I’m not a fan of totally blinged out anything on anyone. It looks a bit cheap past a certain point. Just mho :).

    1. Lisa, That boxy style denim jacket is not for me either. I found one that has more tailoring thru the body (I am sorry to say a couple of years ago) at Talbot’s. Hopefully you can find one in a different silhouette that works for you. Blessings 🙂

  9. Love that outfit, Hey Cyndi and anyone else, do you think ladies over 40 or even 50 are too old to wear blinged out jeans, ala Miss Me jeans? I really want a pair of these, but will I look silly?

    1. I want a pair of Miss Me’s, too. I am going to look for the plain pocket ones. I love the stitching on them.

    2. Hi Mary.

I have two pair of Miss Me jeans, and I love them. I think it’s not just about age, but about attitude and the confidence to pull it off. A lot of times, my self-confidence isn’t strong enough to wear them, but there are times I put them on and love wearing them. Mine do have some bling on the pocket. I got them from Stitch Fix. The fit is amazing. They hug in all the right places. Get yourself a pair. 🙂

      1. I tried on a pair yesterday, lie you said the fit was amazing. I have recently lost 40 pounds, so I am getting a pair, who cares! I think they’re adorable, ha!

    3. Hey Mary,
Well, here’s my opinion. Tread lightly with those jeans. 🙂
I personally don’t wear them because they accentuate the part of my body, that I don’t want to accentuate.
They are definitely a “young” look.
      Blessings,
      Cyndi

  10. Love this outfit! I’m so glad you didn’t cuff the pants, you look so darn cute! I’m really starting to warm up to the wedged booties. I’m going to have to shop for some. Try them on anyway. Gotta love a denim jacket!! My favorite Oct outfit so far!
