31 Days Of Fall Fashion (Day 26)

It’s Day 26 of my 31 Days of Fall Fashion. Before we talk fashion, lets talk about our heart.

This past week, I was talking with someone who said to me, “How could I ask for more?”  I’ve thought about that statement all week.

The older I get, the more I realize how the simple things mean the most to me.

31 Days Of Fall Fashion (Day 26)

There are lots of things vying for my heart but I want a heart that reflects Christ.

Proverbs 4:23 says, Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.

So we need to guard our hearts and protect them. If we’re not careful, we can easily be distracted by the things of this world.

This song came to my mind immediately when I heard, “How can I ask for more?” It’s an oldie but a goodie. It reminds us to enjoy the simple but precious moments in life.

Traci and I are driving home from the Allume conference and I’m wearing my heart sweater from Old Navy. I thought it was appropriate since my heart is full after a wonderful few days of soaking in Christ.

Do you have something simple that you enjoy?

Have a blessed day!

  1. Simple things always touch my heart. Today was our annual trip to the pumpkin farm and my 10 year old and 14 year old were so kind to say, “Mom we have to get our picture in the pumpkins we do it every year for you” simple pleasure that my children know I love. Love those two. They always surprise me. Blessing to all and I hope Bennett and family are well. I have thought and prayed for them all week.

  2. Thank you for the timely reminder of what is truly important! Fashion is fun, but our true beauty comes from our hearts (and our heavenly Father, of course!) Love your “heart” sweater, as well as what it symbolizes. I have loved this song since it first came out, and sang it in my church many years ago for Thanksgiving worship. Thank you for sharing it here – it never gets old!

  3. My younger son is 9, and still loves to be tucked in every night. I will savor it for as long as I have it. The simple moments of each day with my husband and sons, and any moment with my extended family is treasured. Thank you for reminding me to stay pure of heart, even in times where our world is not.

  4. I do love the simple things:

I love just sitting and reading/talking with my daughter.
I love playing with my senior miniature dachshund.
I love just hanging out with my mom.

  5. Love that verse Cindi. I enjoy hanging out with my adult kids and my grand daughter. Doesn’t matter where we are or what we do either. 🙂

  6. I enjoy riding my bike to the marina & having quiet time with my Lord. I live in a beautiful community close to intercoastal waterway in Savannah.

  7. I enjoy our family days that don’t happen nearly as often as I would like, with my precious husband, my 3 sisters, their husbands, all of the children and grandchildren congregating at my paren’s house. I feel like the richest woman in the world!

  8. I enjoy Sunday afternoon with all the family at my parent’s house. My mom prepares a delicious lunch and we all gather around the table to eat and enjoy each other’s company. Sunday is my favorite day of the week as it’s filled with faith, family and friends.

Cyndi, you always look adorable and I love the Old Navy heart sweater. Also, I need a new phone case and yours I couldn’t help but notice yours in the picture. I love the colors and design. Would you mind sharing what brand it is?

    Thanks for inspiring and encouraging.
