28 Days of Spring Fashion (Day 26)

It’s Day 26 of my 28 Days of Spring Fashion and today I’m styling Lace and Denim.

I wanted to give you some pictures of my outfit inspiration. Lace is still a popular trend right now and I saw some outfits on Pinterest styling a lace top with boyfriend jeans.

I decided to give it a try! My lace top is from The Limited and I added a silky cami underneath (similar here).

Lace and pearls seem to go hand in hand so I added my pearl necklace.

I might have a thing for these nude heels. How many times have I styled them in the last week?

These boyfriend jeans are from JC Penney and they are the Joe Fresh brand. I sized down in them so they were not baggy.

  1. I love it! And I already have that top from the Limited. I’ll wear my rolled cuffed ankle jeans that I also got from the Limited. They are my favorite jeans! The cuff is tacked so it stays in place. The jeans are fitted but have some stretch and are so comfy and figure flattering.

  2. Oh, Cyndi! This is outfit is YOU!! So feminine, soft yet strong with the contrast of the lace with the denim. I love it. It absolutely reads Cyndi Spivey to me. Beautiful you.

  3. I’m a fairly recent follower of your blog (2-3 months), and I can’t tell you how I look forward to it each day! It is wonderful for so many reasons, but mostly for your style and your faith! Love the way you mix up the looks. For example, after foot surgery, I can’t wear heels, as much as I would like to, but you so often include flats, sandals, and boots! Thank you for giving us a glimpse into your life as well. In fact….thank you!

  4. Love, love, love this cute outfit! I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the 28 days so far. Please keep this type of posting ” in the rotation”. And your hair! I haven’t been able to pull the trigger on bangs (even tho I wore bangs for years). Any tips/advice/regrets on bangs vs no bangs with the bob?

  5. Sharp outfit, I love everything about it!! I looked at the boyfriend jeans online and the fit looks more relaxed than what you’re wearing and they were rolled up. Weird! I’ve so enjoyed your 28 days of spring fashion! Can’t wait for more!!

  6. LOVE LOVE LOVE the lace & denim…but I think you would look amazing in a gunny sack! We’re going to Knoxville tomorrow & I will be looking for the jeans for sure. I can’t wear heels…hoping nude flats or wedges will work. My hubby will be soooo happy for my next “Cyndi” shopping search! Lol

  7. I love this outfit!! I want to order the stuff for myself. I already have the nude pumps, but I can’t wear pumps with jeans…I only wear pumps/heels to church on Sunday morning, usually. Looks great though!

  8. Very, VERY cute! Don’t you have a lacey trench , as well! You should style that for those of us that still get cool weather. I have a lacey top in my cache. I’ll have to dig it out… I thought it was passe!

  9. One of my favorites–I wear this combo often! (And I’m glad you sized down in the BF jeans–they’re tricky, and I think these are really flattering.

  10. Very pretty way to dress up the jeans. Love lace, pearls and denim. Great idea to combine them all together.

  11. I Love this outfit!! It is something I would absolutely wear. And something I already have in my closet. Thank you for your Inspirations!!!

  12. Hi Cyndi. I think you hit the nail on the head as far as copying the Pinterest look. I like that your jeans are not too distressed (I think that’s for the younger girls). I might tweak it a bit by cuffing the jeans, and unfortunately I can’t wear heels so I might do a flat or sandal. I love my boyfriend jeans but I don’t think they look that good on me since I have a pear shape. I’ll have to pull them out again and give this a try. Your “Blue Devil” frenemy, Anita. #goduke ;D

  13. Very classy!! I just started following your blog a few months ago. Look forward to it every day. Have a great Easter!

  14. Oh my goodness!!!! Another classy “look”. I love this and will “try” and incorporate it into my wardrobe…..you are on “fire” girl!

  15. I love it Cyndi! I’ll be looking for something like your outfit, my boyfriend jeans are getting to worn looking but I do have the nude heels!

      1. Young and hip, but still very classy. Love it. I noticed your jeans look like they stop at the ankle. Are they ankle jeans? I am short 5’2″ so everything is long on me. what are the fashion guidelines on where the hem should hit? I like this blog because I have NO fashion sense and I need all the help I can get.

  16. Love, love, love this look! You look wonderful… I will be copying this! Thanks for the fun post Cyndi!

  17. I love this outfit! For those of us who might not be able to do heels, I wonder if some cute white canvas tennis shoes would look good??

    1. I can’t do heels for very long either but I think a cute pair of nude flats would look cute but might need to style them with skinny jeans instead of boyfriend.

  18. Cyndi,
You are just too classy, cute and spot on with the trends. I’m under 40 but I really enjoy your blog. I’ve just joined this year. You evoke a southern charm that I try to achieve myself. Thanks for sharing! Oh and GO CATS!

  19. Gorgeous! I wasn’t sure if I would like the lace, but it is really pretty. My grandson’s 2nd birthday party is on Saturday and I now know exactly what I’m going to wear! Thanks for the inspiration!

  20. So fresh, feminine and flattering! I love this look, and you look beautiful. The bag is so cute, where did you get it?

  21. Love you in the lace & denim… as you probably saw in my fashion group that I too wore the Lace & denim yesterday to Lexington, KY. I also love it!! <3

  22. I love the look and the pearl necklace .. is it heavy? I have a hard time finding the clunky necklaces that aren’t heavy … neck issues.
    Thanks!

  23. Hi Cyndi – I absolutely love this look of lace with denim. You nailed it again! Have a great day!

  24. Stunning outfit! I have a similar top & light colored jeans – so thank you for giving me a wardrobe idea. I’ll have to modify the shoes, no longer can wear heels

  25. I love the look of light denim with nude heels and a lace top; and your addition of big pearls and gold necklace completes the look so well.Trés belle!!

  26. What a cute outfit! Love the ivory lace top, looks great with the pearl necklace, jeans and heels. Have a beautiful day! 🙂
