Good Friday Thoughts

Hey friends! Today I’m not sharing any fashion or beauty tips. It’s Good Friday and I want to focus on Christ today.

Good Friday Thoughts
As I think about this day, I’m reminded that He was thinking of me as He journeyed towards the cross.

The pain He was going to suffer he did it willingly. I did nothing to deserve His grace and love. I deserve death and yet He has given me eternal life.

He was thinking of you too! His grace and love is for everyone who will accept Him.

This is one of my favorite songs and I’ve shared it before but I’ve been playing it a lot this week. It’s how I feel about what He’s done for me. I’m overwhelmed!

We have had noon day services everyday this week and last night we had a Maundy Thursday service. It’s been a busy week!

What do you have planned for this Easter weekend?

Have a blessed day!

  1. Wow! Thank you so much for your witness! My husband is a Music Pastor so this season is also incredibly busy. Last weekend we had an Easter musical for 3 nights, also had a Maundy Thursday service, and 3 services Sunday. We try very hard to give quality time to our two boys (ages 7 & 3) so they understand what this season is really about. Eternal praise and gratitude given to our Heavenly Father and to our Redeemer, Jesus Christ!

  2. I went to a Seder meal last night and then Good Friday service this evening. Tomorrow night I am going with my husband and daughter to a Saturday night service and then Sunday morning I am going to serve at the Easter morning service. Happy Easter to you and family.

  3. I will be spending time with my family this Sunday. My Mom just got out of the hospital on Wednesday, very thankful that we can be together. Wishing you and your family a very Happy Easter.

  4. Thank you for making Jesus the focus of this day. I started out this Good Friday in a solemn mood but as the day has progressed, my spirit has changed. I guess in anticipation of His glorious resurrection. Just got home and saw this new release from dear friends of my sister, who is a missionary. I hope you don’t mind that I share the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2LANsrt780

  5. Happy Easter !
Thanks for always pointing us to our Savior!
Maundy Thursday service was so wonderful last night! The time to slow down reflect on how much Love Jesus has for us! It is so overwhelming! Free if you just ask him for forgiveness!
Prayers to everyone …rejoice and shine in his love!

  6. Thank you for having the spotlight on Jesus today, Cyndi…and rightfully so. So thankful for Him!!! Our church is having a Good Friday service as well. Wishing you and your family a blessed Resurrection Sunday too! God bless you in all you do.

  7. Thankful to read all these post! God’s not dead he is alive and he is getting ready to send for us. Happy Easter Cyndi and to your family! Thank you for having a web site that we can speak about Jesus and all he has done for us.

  8. Let us all focus on Him today and this weekend – not what dress we will wear to church or the chocolate bunnies. They are just a tiny part of Easter. God bless you, Cyndi, and your family.

  9. Thank you for focusing on Jesus today, Cyndi! Tonight is my favorite service of the year, Good Friday! It reminds me more than anytime of the year exactly what Jesus did and suffered for me. Easter will be a celebration … Hallelujah, he is risen, he is risen indeed!!! Dinner with family, pretty dresses, spring time flowers, and basking in his love!

  10. He blesses us daily, He is good all the time. Praise the Lord that Jesus took our place. Let’s praise Him with songs, prayers, and thankfulness today!

  11. So thankful for Jesus’ sacrifice ! Thx for sharing this today and nothing else 😉 ….and that beautiful song too.

  12. Amen! For tomorrow, on the third day my savior rose from the grave and was seen of over 500 people!! Praise the Lord for His saving Grace, a free gift to us for our choosing, and then a life serving our precious Lord and a Heavenly home after our death to live eternally with the one who died for us. Thank you Cyndi for this day of remembrance! 🙂

  13. I’m in awe of the love and grace my heavenly Father bestowed upon on me while I was yet a sinner and unworthy of His forgiveness. Yet He chose to lay down His life for me! How blessed we are to reflect and celebrate His gift of eternal life this Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday weekend! I pray you and your family will be rested and refreshed in Him today!
