As you look back over the past week, can you see God’s goodness?
Maybe you had a wonderful week or maybe this has been one of the most difficult weeks. Your Monday started out sunny but by Friday everything had changed and dark clouds seem to be hovering over you.
Life is full of ups and downs and change is to be expected. The one thing we know will never change is God’s word.
So no matter what kind of week you have had, cling to His word because that’s where you will find hope, and truth and see that God is good.
- For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in lovingkindness to all who call upon You. Psalm 86:5
- O give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; For His lovingkindness is everlasting. 1 Chronicles 16:34
- O taste and see that the LORD is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him! Psalm 34:8
- For the LORD is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting And His faithfulness to all generations. Psalm 100:5

Thank you for this timely post. My week also started out good, and then took a turn that left me exhausted. Working all day, picking up the kids from camp to go to Vacation Bible School in the evening, coming home and taking care of my husband who was not feeling well, doing laundry, feeding the pets, etc. Sometimes it is hard to see God in the midst of all the “busyness.” We all need reminders from time to time that God is good and He is always with us, even when we feel overwhelmed. Thanks for this reminder.
This totally describes how my week started and ended! Thank you for helping me find peace… This was just what I needed!

As your post stated the first part of the started out good, the end of the week didn’t far so well. A cousin, he was only 24, drowned on Friday, a very sad day for the family.
God is good though, we don’t always understand the timing of events in our lives. Each morning is a new day though.
I will pray for you and your family this day.

God IS good…my grand daughter(1st grandchild) was born yesterday, 6 weeks early at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati and has some minor complications and is in the Nicu. This has caused a delayed bonding for the parents and it’s been emotional 24 hours for everyone but I feel God’s presence every time I stood next to the hospital crib and it was so comforting! Thank you Cyndi for your daily encouragment!!! God Bless!
