26 Days of Fall Fashion (Day 21)

26 Days of Fall Fashion (Day 21)I can’t believe it’s Day 21 of my 26 Days of Fall Fashion! Today I’m styling a kensie fringe sweater.

I bought this sweater because it had fringe and I also thought it would work on some of you who are petite and are looking for a cardigan sweater. I thought it would look good on a petite frame. (Of course they don’t have it online but I did find a similar one here. I love kensie sweaters.)

26 Days of Fall Fashion (Day 21)I styled it two ways, one with these cute black flats from Glamour Farms. I know some of you don’t wear heels or you wear them, but not to work. These tori burch inspired flats are stylish and comfortable. They’re reasonably priced at $28 and you can use my discount code Spivey936 to get $10 off.

26 Days of Fall Fashion (Day 21)I’m wearing The Limited jeans with my flats. They are long and I don’t think I look good in ankle jeans with flats. It’s probably just me but I like my jeans long with flats.

I prefer a slight heel most of the time. I’m not short, I’m 5’6″ but I think it helps elongate my body. I think the easiest way to wear ankle boots is to style them with ankle zip jeans. I purchased these jeans from LOFT a year ago and they don’t have this style any more but I love them with booties.

Beauty For the Heart~~“The ability to calm your soul and wait before God is one of the most difficult things in the Christian life. Our old nature is restless… the world around us is frantically in a hurry. But a restless heart usually leads to a reckless life.” -Warren Wiersbe

It’s important for us to slow down. Take time to today to quiet your soul.

Have a blessed day!

  1. This would be a great Friday outfit for work. I’m only 5’1 but still wear flats on Fridays and weekends so I might just have to order these. I love Tory Burch and have a pair of her flats but they aren’t comfortable so I won’t pay the extra price again. So, thanks so much for sharing these and have a wonderful weekend!

  2. Your Beauty for the Heart was just what I needed to hear today. My husband and I have been trying to make a decision about a weighty matter. Hubby keeps saying we need to pray more. I “feel” unsettled and want an answer RIGHT NOW! But, your post in combination with Psalm 27:14 has been very encouraging that I need to trust God’s timing and not my own. Thank you!

  3. I have enjoyed these post so very much! I will miss them when they are gone. I love the outfit. I am also petite. I love the flats because you can not always wear heels to work all day and be comfortable. Thank you so much for being such a Blessing to us.

  4. Love this look with the booties. I have so enjoyed this series with you and JoLynne. I can’t wait to open my emails every morning to see what you are styling!! I will be sad when it is over, but will enjoy using your ideas this fall. Thanks so much!

  5. I REALLY like this – both ways, flats and with the booties – which I am loving the heel on those, a wedge, but not a wedge, very fashionista! Thanks for thinking like a short/petite person today :-). Many of the more “trendy” things just aren’t made with us in mind.

  6. I love this outfit! Thank you, for remembering us petite gals! This cardigan length works best for us. The ones that are to the knee or longer, definitely shortens our legs even with heels! I like it best with the wedged bootie, but for a day of shopping or errands, I’d wear the flats. ???

  7. One of my favs. Very cute. Also Great beauty for the heart. Ever one is in such a hurry. I see it even with the retirees. 🙂

  8. I love your look! I have purchased a few pieces to try and re create some of your outfits. Your blog is one of my favorite and I also follow Jo Lynn and was happy about 26 day fall series. I’ve really enjoyed it!

  9. You look cute as always Cyndi. I too prefer a heel since I am short. I don’t usually wear flats at all. But if I do, they need to have good support. That’s hard to find in a flat ;-( Have a blessed day.

    1. totally agree about the flats – I’ve been shopping for some recently, but I prefer they have a least a little heel which is next to impossible to find. Being just under 5’2, I feel like very flat shoes are not my best option.

  10. This sweater is a perfect example of my hesitance with fashion. I think this sweater looks great on you and I’m sure lots of other people. I like it enough that I would try it on—and realize I had throw rug draped across my shoulders!! It’s so frustrating to me that I like the way certain items look on other people but then when I try it I feel like a fool! Does this happen to other people or is it just me?

  11. How do the flats fit? It looks like they might have a wider heel area but not sure. Do they have much cushion? I’m flat footed and have a very hard time finding comfy shoes so wanted to check with you before ordering. Thanks!

    1. Kim I don’t wear a lot of flats but I thought these were very comfortable. They feel like they have cushion. My leopard print flats do not have any cushion so that’s what I’m comparing them to.
      Hope that helps!
