Fall Fashion: Ruffles and a Vest

Fall fashion October 5A few weeks ago, the ladies from Glamour Farms came and spent the night with me so we could get some pictures taken.

We had lots of fun talking about fall fashion and what I wanted to style this fall/winter. I shared with them styles I like and styles I thought you would like too.

Today I’m styling this Young At Heart Ruffle Lightweight sweater in taupe. It’s feminine and it’s also made in the USA.  (Use Spivey 829 to get $10 off your Glamour Farms purchase.)

We paired this sweater with brown boots and a brown clutch but I think it would look great with black accessories. (I’m wearing the Ahhmazing tank in black because I was changing outfits in their SUV and I forgot to bring my latte color!)

It hangs longer in the back and it comes in three different colors, taupe (I’m wearing), mocha, and black. It also comes in curvy size.

When the weather turns colder, I’ll be ready with this red vest, sweater and scarf.

  1. I like the taupe ruffle top but I look horrible it taupe. I wish it came in another color. The red vest is fantastic!

  2. I have a navy blue vest that is almost identical to the red one you’re wearing, and a plaid infinity scarf that is also very similar to what you’re wearing….I love them for fall, it’s one of those looks I think anyone can wear.

  3. Such a pretty taupe top and love the cute red vest outfit! What a great thing to have your own stylist come visit YOU!!! Love your hair in these photos too…did you layer it more?

  4. Oh what a darling sweater from Glamor Farms! I wish it weren’t so pricey, even with 10.00 off. Have a blessed day Cyndi!

    1. BTW Cyndi, The ads on your Blog are getting to be more and more and I have video ads popping in every now and then. Also it wants to keep bumping me off your site altogether. I’m not having trouble with any other websites, etc. so not sure what the problem is. I am using a desktop PC. Is anyone else having problems?

      1. Same with me. Sometimes it just freezes and I have to reboot, but will do it again when I resvisit. It does it on two of my computers and just this site. 🙁 If I come back later I can sometimes get in. Other days not as much of a problem. like today! 🙂

      2. Hey Nancy,
I’m working on trying to find out why you’re getting so many ads. I have contacted my ad people and they aren’t seeing it.
I’m going to contact my blog designer now so bare with me!!
        Thanks so much,
        Cyndi

  5. Could you please pass on to Glamour Farms…..Need availability of petite sizes! Would love to purchase some of their clothes, but tops are too long for me 🙁

    1. I have the same problem. I end up taking the items I purchase to a seamstress for alterations which is why I’ll only buy when items are on the $10 sale at the end of the season. Wish I could afford to buy otherwise but if I have to have everything shortened I can’t pay twice. 🙁

  6. I love the sweater from Glamour Farms! Oh, I introduced a few friends to them and they love their clothes. Beauty of the Heart is great. God bless!

  7. Love both outfits! You look fantastic! Fall is my favorite season, October my favorite month, can’t wait for full time sweater, vest, and boot weather!!

  8. I like the color of the ruffled blouse, but the seams on the arms hang way too low on the arm, makes it look cheap.

    1. I believe the seams on the arms are part of the sweater’s detail and is supposed to look that way. I think it adds some fun, unique interest.

    2. The technical term is a “dropped” shoulder. Yes, it’s meant to be that way. It’s not “cheap”, but the styling may not suit everyone, especially those with small shoulders. Cyndi does a great job of presently choices, so there’s probably something for everyone.

  9. I love the clothes you model for Glamour Farms. You are the perfect advertisement for them – I am wearing a shirt today that you had in your 26 days of fall fashion! I also ordered the fringe boots you modeled. It is nice to see clothes on real women that are my age. Thanks for keeping us in style!
