Cardigan and Turtleneck-25 Days of Winter Fashion (Day 3)

Cardigan and Turtleneck-25 Days of Winter Fashion (Day 3)Welcome to Day 3 of my 25 Days of Winter Fashion! Today I’m styling a cardigan and turtleneck from H&M.

I don’t think anything says winter fashion like a good ole turtleneck! I love wearing them when the weather gets cold. We had a family get together last night and I wore this outfit, it was warm and comfy!

Cardigan and Turtleneck-25 Days of Winter Fashion (Day 3)I added my Stella & Dot necklace and bracelet. My watch is a more casual Michael Kors (when I purchased this watch, it was on sale). I also like the gold button detail on this turtleneck.

Do you wear turtlenecks when the weather gets cold?

Make sure you head over and see what Jo-Lynne is wearing today!

Beauty For the Heart~~I have been watching the news and hearing about the terror attacks that hit Paris, France last night.

I have to admit I’m not surprised that something like this has happened. I think I was expecting it, were you? I’m surprised it wasn’t here in the United States and I feel we are next.

When I went to bed last night, this song came to mind,

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus Christ, my righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.
On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand,
All other ground is sinking sand.

Praying for Paris!

Have a blessed day!

  1. Cyndi, I wear turtlenecks and scarves all through the winter months, b/c if my neck gets cold, I am cold all over!

    Re: Paris attacks– this just gives me a terrible sense of foreboding! We earnestly prayed for Paris at church yesterday. But I am continuing to pray for the state of our whole world! We need more than ever to turn to God!

  2. Hi Cyndi,
    I just found your blog on Wednesday and I’m soooo happy!!! Thank you for being here! It’s a challenge being 55, having only son’s and wanting to stay current in fashion!!!!! Really appreciate all the work you put into keeping us informed about choices. Oh I checked out Glamour Farm and had a lovely experience with these gals. Thanks.
    I agree with you about the terror attacks……I would not have been surprised in anyway if a concurrent attack had occurred in our country.
    Standing firm in Christ! God bless your weekend.

  3. Love this entire outfit, especially the sleeve detail. i wear turtlenecks often, but I have a really hard time finding those that fit snugly on the neck and aren’t baggy all over. I like them to be a sleek backdrop… that’s why I take such good care of those I have. 🙁 You could also belt the cardigan either at the waist or slightly below. Belted cardigans look so stylish for some reason.
    i just can’t wrap my head around this news…. it mystifies me. I just can’t even begin to understand the mentality or supposed justification.

  4. Love the cardigan. Good price.
    I usually do not watch the news. However yesterday I watched and my heart went out to the people in Paris.
    Praying for everyone.

  5. Love your fashion sense and your simple and yet stylish outfits. I was wondering if you ever considered collaborating with an over 60ish woman who could do the same outfits … maybe with some tweaking. (Maybe an older friend, neighbor, etc.) Guess you can tell which age category I’m in. Thank you!

  6. Love that song! Prayers for Paris. And I agree…. Expecting the US to be hit at anytime ;-(. What size cardigan and top are you wearing and is that turtleneck white/taupe/grey?? Hard to tell on my iPhone. Thx for your input. Hope the newlyweds are doing great!! 🙂

    1. I’m wearing a small in the sweater and the turtleneck. My turtleneck is a wheat color. I thought that was the same one but i’m not sure it’s the exact one. It’s close! 🙂

  7. I love that song Cyndi, and “yes, on Christ the solid rock I stand!” I really like the outfit! The one thing I’m not liking about my longer sweaters is that they have to be reshaped and dry flat. I do have two drying racks that I sit in our garden tub.

    #PRAYINGFORPARIS and wondering when that magnitude of a terrorist attack is going to hit the US.

    Have a blessed day!

  8. Love your outfit today. That cardigan is my favorite color. What size did you get in your turtleneck and cardigan? I am homebound because of my broken kneecap and can’t get out to try anything on. But I can still be fashionable, even if just my 2 dogs see me! Love that song, one of my all time favorite hymns. Many prayers for the people in France!

  9. I love my boots from Target and I love a comfy turtleneck. …nothing better when it’s cold outside. Sweater looks very warm too.

  10. Love this look! I’m taking a break from working right now and feel like I have gotten into a rut with just throwing anything on! This look would work for me and look more pulled together…I need to make more effort with clothes and make up and jewelry. More outfits like this with pants, please!

  11. I love, love your blog. I work in an office and would like to see some office casual. We only wear jeans on Fridays. Most of your outfits are based around jeans. More variety in pants would be most helpful.

    thanks for your work.
