Hello Monday, it’s Day 4 of my 25 Days of Winter Fashion. Today I’m styling a layered top and booties.
A few years ago, I styled a layered top similar to this one. It was in my Stitch Fix box and I got quite a few emails asking where they could purchase the top but unfortunately I couldn’t find it online.
When I saw this one at JCPenney, I couldn’t wait to wear it! I love this style of top with the layering. I added this long necklace from Banana Republic.
I’m wearing my LOFT skinny jeans AGAIN. I love these jeans but I promise to give them a rest for a few days.
I’m wearing my two favorite bracelets from Stella & Dot, the renegade cluster and the jackie link bracelet.

I love the layered tops but haaaate how it feels so bunched up throughout the day. The top on the JCP model looks a little different than it does on you. I’m pretty tall, do you think the the top will hit at my hips?
I love this top on you! The layer underneath appears twice as long on the JCP model, however, and not nearly as attractive. Did you alter yours somehow?

What size are the LOFT jeans?
The Loft jeans are a size 6. These are a lighter jean and I typically wear a darker wash but I have liked the change.

I like these kind of tops(which are hard to find in local shops) as I dislike having to wear a sweater over a white dress shirt which becomes bulky and frumpy looking..at least on me anyway.. 😉

I love the outfit. But your Beauty of the Heart quote was so perfect today. We lost a close young friend last night in a car accident. He left his wife and two young kids. And it is weighing heavy on my heart this day. So that really helped. Thanks so much Cindy!!

Love this outfit and you know I love Loft. They have extended their 40% off sale today so I might have to take another trip over there. 🙂
For gals not familiar with Loft jeans they have a lot of stretch in them and come in a modern fit and a curvy fit. I usually size down in their jeans.
Anyone 5’3″? Should I get petite or regular loft skinny jeans? Sometimes I’m right between the 2. Petites can be a little short and regulars too long.
Marianne, I’m 5’3″ tall, and I buy petite pants/jeans at Loft. Sometimes (depending upon the style), the jeans are still too long unless I wear heels, but I have a pretty short inseam – about 27″ hits at my ankle with flats.

Yes I typically wear a small. But the small in this top was too tight.

Cute outfit! I found a similar top at Penneys a couple months ago….mine is gray with a thin navy stripe and white on the bottom like yours. I stopped by Chicos the other day and they have a beautiful top right now that is similar but a bit dressier in black and white. Would look beautiful with black ponte pants and heels for a holiday party etc or skinnies for a more casual look.
I love most of the styles you wear. I don’t have a pair of these jeans. I have bought another brand in a size 10 and they bunch up around the ankles when I tuck them in my boots. They ride down some as well along the waist. Do u recommend these jeans and what size? I love to read you blog’s. I enjoy watching the style’s, but I mostly love your heart for the Lord. Have a sweet day in the Lord.
When you buy your jeans are they straight leg or skinny leg? So that they don’t bunch up they need to be skinny.
You might need to try these on before you purchase them. I’m not sure what size to tell you.

Yes, she does a French manicure but it is done with two colors of acrylic powder…a white and a pink with a clear coat on top. She did a posting about it this summer 😀

I love your style! Question: if some of us over 50-ish aren’t quite comfortable with the way we “present” in skinny jeans and/or leggings, what would you suggest with the kinds of larger tops you’ve been showing this season? (Not this one, so much.) But the big poncho-types are voluminous already, so a bigger leg on the bottom isn’t necessarily a good idea. Thoughts?

Glenda, I don’t wear skinnies/leggings either, but prefer the LOFT straight leg jeans instead. I think they look good with the more voluminous tops.
