Red Hunter Boots -26 Days of Winter Fashion (Day 13)

Red Hunter Boots-26 Days of Winter Fashion (Day 13)Welcome back to 25 Days of Winter Fashion! Jo-Lynne and I took a few days off from our series but we’re ready to get going again.

First, let me tell you the Raffflecopter picked the winner of the $100 Nordstrom gift card….Kathy Hoffman. Yay!! Thank you all for entering and I wish I could give everyone a gift card. 🙂

I have been wanting to purchase a pair of red hunter boots foreva! I went to my sister’s house the other day and she had a pair sitting in her entrance hall. She was using them as decoration (she wears them too), and they looked so cute!

I decided to break down and purchase them and I’m so glad I did! The weather has been raining and raining and I’m just smiling with my red boots on (that sounds like a country music song. Ha!).

Red Hunter Boots-26 Days of Winter Fashion (Day 13)I added this red plaid scarf (out of stock) from Old Navy and a green crossbody bag from Forever 21 (out of stock). I feel like it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Red Hunter Boots-26 Days of Winter Fashion (Day 13)I also wore this red scarf from Gap with these boots. This scarf is really soft!

Red Hunter Boots-26 Days of Winter Fashion (Day 13)I ordered this white shirt after another blogger mentioned it and said it was her favorite. It’s a great long sleeve top but it’s thin and I’m wearing a white tank under it. The top hangs longer in the back.

Red Hunter Boots-26 Days of Winter Fashion (Day 13)I know it’s hard to see but I’m wearing pearl earrings from LOFT. They’re my new favorite pair!

Red Hunter Boots-26 Days of Winter Fashion (Day 13)This outfit is simple but I think it’s perfect for the Christmas season.

Lastly, just for fun, I purchased this t-shirt. It made me laugh! We quote this line from Christmas Vacation all the time so it’s fitting I wear it.

Red Hunter Boots-26 Days of Winter Fashion (Day 13)I’m almost finished decorating for Christmas, I’m keeping it simple this year. Have you finished decorating?

Make sure you stop by and see what Jo-Lynne is styling today!

Beauty For the Heart~~Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. Colossians 4:6

This is such a good reminder as we go through the holiday season and we’re busy and sometimes stressed. We’re also dealing with family and sometimes those relationships can be strained. Words are powerful and we need to be careful what we say.

Let our words be full of grace!

Have a blessed day!

  1. I love the white long sleeve top you have on with the scarf so cute. I like that you said it was thin, I could use a few thin sweaters. Just found your blog look forward to following along.

  2. Hi Cyndi,
Love the outfit… the boots are perfect for the pop-of-color! You are adorable in them. Cute tee. Love that movie too.

  3. Hi. Do you order from jane.com often? The t-shirt is really cute but reviews I’ve seen for the site are pretty terrible. How long did it take to receive the t-shirt? Thanks so much.

  4. This is the cutest outfit!! Love it all, especially how those boots just pop! After I saw you post that tee on our group, I immediately scoured Jane’s website looking for it, lol.

  5. My daughter has black hunter boots and she loves hers. I don’t think I would wear them often enough to justify the cost -can’t wear to work 😏 But if I could the red ones would be my pick. So CUTE! I could use them right now because it has been pouring for days in Knoxville. 🌂☔️💦
I laughed at the tee – I’m almost embarrassed to admit that we have to watch that movie every Christmas and every time I laugh until I cry!

  6. I do love to read your blogs!! Brings a little peace to my days!! And so fashionable too! Lol…have a blessed week ☺️🙏🏻

  7. Cyndi,

I love your boots!!! 👢 I got the black ones. I had them for about a month. We were on the coast during the SC flood and never again will I ever be caught again with out them. So happy you got them enjoy them!!! ☔️🌂👢😉

  8. Love, love, love the red boots Cyndi! I just bought a purple pair of BOG boots but wasn’t quite sure how to wear them “out and about”. Thanks for the great idea! Thanks also for helping this 40++ gal stay current with my fashion. I have to say however, that my very favorite part of your post is the Beauty For the Heart~~ just how do you know what I need to hear each and every day? Blessing to you my friend <3

  9. Cyndi, I just wanted to say you always make my day! You are such a beautiful 40+ women and always have such insperational outfits. I love your Hunter rain boots, and the way you put together the most simple things and look so put together. Please keep up the great work! Also all the ladies at Fashion for Women over 40 love you and Jo-Lynne!

  10. Cyndi, I just found your blog through my sister. I have been so bored with my wardrobe but have found being 40+ isn’t always easy to style. I have received some great inspiration from looking through your posts and am excited to head out shopping this week for some new things!! Thanks!!

  11. How unexpected to see that cute green purse! Love all of the outfits/styling details, but that one really popped out to me as special. Pray for me. Coveting your boots. 😉 <3

  12. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your red boots and the way you’ve put them with jeans, t shirts and plaid scarves. If I didn’t live in sunny Arizona I’d buy those boots in a heartbeat!

  13. I love the top from BP that you posted today. Would love to purchase in a plus size, any suggestions for a similar style top? Thank you.

  14. “Wellies!” Love them! May need a pair for when I travel back east for Christmas, I’m sure they will be more rain than what we lack in SoCal!
You look adorable! Thanks for posting and for your uplifting blog!

  15. Out here in Oregon and Washington, we call the boots “Wellies.” I don’t own any myself because they make me think of what people out here wear to the beach to go clam digging, so it’s hard for me to see them as a fashion boot, but many women out here wear them as a fashion boot. I don’t think I’ll be buying any for myself, but if I did, I prefer the navy blue. 🙂

  16. Just received my Hunter boots from Nordstrom yesterday. I purchased a shorter boot the “Huntress” also in red. I have an appointment today and it is raining here, so I will be wearing mine today. I love their free shipping and return policy. Thanks for brightening a rainy day.

  17. As the song on the radio says, GIVE THIS CHRISTMAS AWAY! I love it! Now to your outfit, I love it especially the red boots! It is also dreary in GA and way to warm for this time of year, but our Christmas lights brighten things up. We kept it very simple this year, which kept the stress down as well. And you know what, I’m just as happy with our decorations because the nativity scene is on the table at our front door, to greet everyone that enters. And I made one arrangement to sit on the hearth that I am very pleased with.
I am having surgery on my left thumb to rid of very painful arthritis tomorrow, so I kept things simple this year. I will appreciate extra prayers for my doctor & his team, along with prayers for me. I am already realizing how much we use our thumbs, to hook your bra, button your jeans, tie shoe laces, etc.
Cyndi, I would love to get to shop in your closet! You have way too many cute, fun, and nice things, that I know the rest of us would love to have. Ha!
I pray things are going well for your sister and brother-in-law!
God bless! I just remembered a song, that references what you shared, “This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine…”

    1. Well, that’s weird….as I read this comment I was also listening to the very song you mentioned (Give Christmas Away)!!!

  18. As usual, you look adorable. I love the red rain boots, but here in Phoenix we just don’t get enough rain to justify them. Darn……..

  19. OMGoodness! What a great Christmas casual/shopping day outfit. Perfect for the dreary rainy weather we are having here as well in Northeast PA. Better than the weather gong on in the middle of the country….I love to try & copycat your outfits, since I’m a 5’4″ curvey kinda gal! Lover everything about it. I’ve already been online looking for the Hunter boots. Since I have a larger calf, I found these shorter Hunter boots directly directly from their website. My daughter has the same issue and ordered the shorter version, they look great even though they are shorter. It’s the best we can do with what we got! But here is the link for Hunter. My daughter has ordered twice from them with no issues.

Thank you so much Cindy for always putting your heart into each post. You truly have a gift from God. Beauty for the Heart, hit the mark for me today. Praying for your sister & family. And you as well, 4 extra boys in the house has got to be an adventure!

  20. So fun! I have been debating a pair myself..just can’t decide between these & the coach rain boots that you can lace in the back with ribbon. The red certainly does brighten a rainy day- keep smiling 🙂

  21. Ha ha we quote Christmas vacation all the time at our house too…. I may need that shirt! Cyndi, I love your hair. It has always looked cute but the longer style your wearing now is lovely! Blessings Krista

  22. You look so cute! So glad you got the Hunter boots! They’ve been on my wish list also.
    Have a wonderful day friend!
