Welcome to Day 14 of 25 Days of Winter Fashion! I know you all love a good sale so I’m excited to share about Macy’s Friends & Family sale today!
I love shopping at Macy’s. It’s one of the places my Mom and I shopped together. When we would meet at the mall, we would always say, “let’s meet at Macy’s“.
When we went Black Friday shopping together, we always went to Macy’s first. My Mom liked Macy’s!

Last year I purchased this red sweater (I’m wearing a small) and I wore it to our Christmas Eve service at church.
I’m so glad to have it for this Christmas season. I’m a sucker for classic red!

Beauty For the Heart~~I was reading a devotional book yesterday called You Are My Hiding Place. My Mom had used it too and had written a little note about Psalm 19:14, May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight.
Here is what Mom wrote: Would you change the way you live if you knew that every word and thought would be examined by God first? David asks that God approve his words and thoughts as though they were offerings brought to the altar. As you begin each day determine that God’s love will guide what you say and how you think.
I’m so thankful for a godly Mom who still teaches through her writings.

I love Macy’s too, especially their sales. I didn’t get much time to shop today so I’ll probably hit it again tomorrow. Thank you for your blog, especially The Beauty for the Heart. Love the red sweater! So festive for rainy Kentucky days like today! I looked at it online and it looks a lot fuller at the bottom (swing style, I guess). How do you think it fit around the hip? Roomy or straight? Love the blog and words of encouragement.

When we lived in NYC my mom and i wud meet at Macys on 34th st after work to go shopping and have dinner and then ride the subway home. My mom loves Macys! Its sounds like you had the same wonderful relationship that i have with my mom. Thank you for sharing her with us

Very pretty red sweater Cyndi. And I really like the Beauty for the Heart today. I’m having outpatient thumb surgery today at 12:30, so no shopping, even on-line for me. I am sporting a pretty red vest to the hospital to give me a little color and spread some Christmas cheer. God bless!

Thank you Cyndi! Other than it being about 3 hrs. late, it went well. I’m real glad the nerve block has worn off so that I can feel my arm and know it’s not falling off.
Love this sweater! I especially like the message your mom wrote . . . when my mom passed away, we put her Bible with her. Now I wonder why did we do that? God is in control, so I will not ponder over that too much . . .
