Fairisle Sweater for Day 20 of 25 Days of Winter Fashion

Fairisle Sweater for Day 20 of 25 Days of Winter FashionIt’s Day 20 of 25 Days of Winter Fashion! I decided I needed to veer away from red and gray so today it’s blue.

I love a fairisle sweater and this one from LOFT is going to be my new favorite. I wore it with a skirt but it would work with black or gray dress pants or for a casual look you can wear it with jeans.

Beauty For the Heart~~Here we are right in the middle of the Christmas season! If you’re like me, you have gifts to buy, presents to wrap, christmas get togethers and baking that needs to get done.

If we aren’t careful we will forget the true meaning of Christmas. We will go through the season and never take the time to read that precious story of a baby coming to us in a manager. Word made flesh.

Take a moment today and read the story of how Jesus was born. Read it and see the hope we have!  (Matthew 1:18-24, Luke 2:1-20)

Have a blessed day!

  1. Thank you for the inspiration. I just bought both pieces. I love this outfit and it looks great on you! And…. thankfully, the skirt is available in tall sizes! (I’m 5’9″). Merry Christmas, Cyndi! Your blog is such a bright spot for me year round, but I have particularly enjoyed this winter segment. Thanks, too for sharing your faith. You touch many of us with reminders from scripture. In fact – it doesn’t get any better! Beautiful Savior and beautiful clothes!

    1. Christa, I decided to try the tall one! I had to go up a size because my usual was sold out, so I hope it fits. Can’t wait for the order to arrive!

  2. I love this outfit!!! I’m a fan of fair isle sweaters and this one looks beautiful with the wrap skirt. I wish the skirt was available in a 20 or 21 inch length. 18″ looks really short on my long legs!

  3. Loved the “blue outfit” so much I went ahead and took advantage of the no shipping and 40% off sale at Loft. Got both for under $90. Can’t wait to wear it on Christmas Eve. Thanks for styling it Cyndy. And for all your great posts and words of encouragement. Blessings to you and your family this holiday season.

  4. I am in LOVE with this outfit. I would also look good with brogues and chunky strapped Mary Janes, but I think most things look good with them. 🙂 Great post and you look great in this outfit.

  5. Hi Cyndi,
Love this outfit, very chic and very beautiful… as blue is one of my favorite colors all year round.. and with winter white, it is perfect! You look adorable in this outfit. I think it would also have looked great with lighter boots and tights! 🙂

    1. Lighter tights and boots meaning the winter white… but the black draws out the black in the outfit so pretty too.

  6. I bought this same velvet clutch at Target for my husband’s office Christmas party! I love it! This is my family’s first year without Santa in a longgggg time! Our oldest is 21 and youngest is 11. This year my husband asked our 3 sons if they’d rather go skiing or get presents…they opted for skiing! So I have bought nothing! A little strange at first, but I’m the one who buys early, during, and after…so much money saved! I’ve lost both parents and since losing my mama especially, Christmas has never been the same-although I enjoyed my boys, of course! This may become a new tradition, until grandkids come along!!! Merry CHRISTmas!

  7. I really like the outfit Cyndi! It looks like the wrap skirt does not hang even at the bottom. Am I seeing it right or is it the angle the pictures were taken?

It is so easy to get caught up in the commercialization of Christmas, losing focus on the birth of Christ. I don’t like people putting an X in the place of Christ when writing Christmas because it seems like they’re not focused on the reason for the season.

    Have a blessed day!

    1. Not to cut in on Cyndi, but wrap skirts aren’t suppose to hang evenly, it’s the way they’re made. It hangs the same way on the Loft model.

  8. Cute outfit! And thanks for the reminder of the “real” meaning of Christmas….nothing is sweeter than telling my 2 y/o grandson about the baby Jesus laying in the manger as we set up his Nativity set…..and him looking through the house to find more “baby Jesus” and being so excited to show his Mom and Dad…..that might be my favorite memory this Christmas….so far!

  9. Oh, I love this outfit! I need more clothes for church, and this would be perfect, and the sale is fabulous! I hope it will look as good on me as its does on you.

Thank you, for reminding me to stay focused on the true meaning of Christmas. I still have a lot of shopping and wrapping to do!

  10. It’s like th pieces were meant for each other. Love seeing a fairisle styled with something other than jeans-thanks for the inspo!

  11. Hi Cyndi,
Such a cute outfit! it looks great on you.
I didn’t see it listed, are you wearing tights or leggings?
    Have a great day
