Casual Winter Style For Women Over 40

Casual-Winter-Style-For-Women-Over-40Today I’m sharing a tunic with some of my favorite basic pieces. This is a casual winter style outfit.

The first time I took pictures in this tunic I styled it with leggings. After I looked at the pictures, I felt the tunic was too short. It covered everything but it was still short and I felt I needed to wear it with black jeans.

Casual-Winter-Style-For-Women-Over-40We had a rare cold day so I added a black infinity scarf to this tunic.

Casual-Winter-Style-For-Women-Over-40I have a lot of jewelry but I typically wear my favorite pieces most days. These gold hoop earrings are classic and I wear them all the time!

Casual-Winter-Style-For-Women-Over-40Believe it or not, it was cold enough for a coat! I’m so glad because I have been wanting to wear my new one from Banana Republic.

Beauty For the Heart~~Christmas is almost here and I don’t know about you but the next week is full of activities for our family. I want to take time and enjoy the season.

Today I woke up with a thankful heart. Not because I have presents under my tree but because of a baby that was born. Not just any baby, but a baby that would save the world.

My heart is full today because He has given me the best gift…..eternal life.

For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

Have a blessed day!

  1. Hi, Cyndi! I hope you and your family had a magical Christmas, and I wish you a peace-filled, prosperous and healthy New Year, filled with love and joy. Now, as to the outfit—-I know everyone thought the tunic was “cute” and all, but I am not a fan, I’m sorry. I adore the coat! I have one very similar by Tommy Helfiger in burgundy, the style is very flattering to almost all figure types, and worn with black leggings/black boots and matching scarf is instant chic, no doubt about it, and you look so great in it, Cyndi. You look awesome in almost all your outfits (what a sense of style!), but IMHO, this tunic is a fail—hope you’re not bad at me. Anyway, keep on styling and fashioning, and teaching us how to get more bang for our buck!! Love and hugs💐

  2. You always look so cute! I also am impresed when I read that you first styled the tunic with leggings but changed to black jeans. In my opinion, many women I see wearing leggings with long tops just don’t realize how revealing it is. A beautiful young woman at my workplace this week wore leggings and a top which barely covered her seat. When she walked, the tight top “rode up”, and her crotch was exposed. Skinny jeans would have been very cute and much more modest and appropriate, in my opinion.

  3. Cindy; I want to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Blessed time as we celebrate our Saviour;s birth

    1. Maureen, they are one size fits most. If you have a question about if they would work for you, you can call Glamour Farms and they can help!
      Cyndi

  4. Merry Christmas to you and your whole family Cyndi! I too am thankful for all of the gifts given to those of us that are believers in Jesus Christ. The birth of our Hevenly Father is what Christmas is all about. Because we have a very small family without a lot of parties, I have found it easier to focus on Jesus’ birth instead of all the gifts and food.
    I love the tunic!
    Have a blessed weekend!
    God bless!

  5. Ahh Cyndi! I just purchased the Comfort Calling tunic tunic from Glamour Farms last week and it’s so cute! I love how you styled it! I have to say that Annie from GF is such a sweet lady! I called to ask questions about sizing and she helped me choose the right size and cut for my frame. I had no idea their was a difference between Missy vs Contemporary sizing but there is, and she helped me immensely! I have to give a big thumbs up to Glamour Farms for working with me to get just the right size for my frame. Just a suggestion, a Post on sizing may help many of us gals who order on-line. Have fun at all your parties! It’s a busy time of year but it’s the season to be joyful for all we have and all we are in Christ Jesus!

  6. Such a cute top……I love it and thank you again for all you do to keep us inspired! Merry Christmas to you and yours…

  7. This may be my favorite outfit you have styled to date! You have really been looking great lately! You are my favorite style icon!!!
    Sincerely,
    Leslie
