My 5 Most Frequently Asked Questions

My 5 Most Frequently Asked QuestionsI thought I would answer 5 of my most frequently asked questions today. Most of them I have answered but they’re lost in a blog post somewhere so I thought I would put them in one post.

Here are 5 questions I get asked frequently:

1. How tall are you? Obviously when I’m wearing a dress or a tunic and you’re thinking about purchasing it, it’s good to know my height. I’m 5’6″.

2. What color are your nails? This might be my #1 asked question! I wrote a post about how I get my nails done here.

I like a natural looking nail. I have short fingers and dark polish shortens your fingers so I save the dark polish for my toes. Dark polish can also accentuate aging hands.

Light polish elongates your hands. The rule is: if you want longer, younger looking hands go neutral.

I read a book for women over 40 a few years ago that said, “If you’re over 40, it’s best to avoid excessive glitter and nail art.” (This makes you look like you’re trying too hard to look young.)

Of course everyone has an opinion but I like a classic look and because my hands are aging I want them to look nice but I don’t want to draw attention to them.

3. Are you still “clean” eating? Yes. Several years ago, I changed my eating habits and I started eating healthier. I try to buy organic as much as possible. I am not 100% clean but I strive to eat as healthy as possible.

When I first started clean eating I was so strict that I was driving my husband crazy so I have relaxed and given myself grace. I eat as healthy as possible.

4. How do you style your hair and how is it cut? My hair is cut in a long bob (which is called a lob) with some layering throughout.

I have a lot of bangs and they’re cut at an angle (I’m not saying to cut your bangs like this, I’m just telling you what I do). I blow dry my hair with a roll brush but I mainly style it with velcro rollers. I shared about that here.

bangs5. What is LIKEtoKNOW.it on Instagram?? I have been getting this question more and more so I want to explain it. I use it myself and love it!!

All you have to do is sign up with LIKEtoKNOW.it here. If you sign up with them, every time you “like” one of my Instagram posts or you “like” anyone one who has the LIKEtoKNOW.it link in their Instagram post, you get an email with affiliate links to the products.

Here is what the email will look like. It will include all the Instagram posts you “liked”. You can click the product and it will take you to the website.

instagramIt’s super easy!! Does that help explain it??

Those are my most frequently asked questions? Is there something else you have wanted to ask?

If you would like to receive my posts in your inbox, you can sign up to receive my daily emails (I share a little more about what’s going on behind the blog in my emails 🙂 ) and you’ll never miss a thing. I’m also on FacebookPinterest and my favorite one, Instagram.

Beauty For the Heart~~Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. Psalm 1:1-2

Have a blessed day!

  1. I love your blog! Just came across this post when searching Pinterest for “bangs”. I have a medium layered bob and am contemplating adding bangs. Do you ever wear your hair wavy or curly?

  2. A question I have is what is the name of your the workout you do for your arms/upper body. You’ve mentioned it before on your blog, but I just don’t remember….
    Thanks

  4. Blessings to you and your family in the New Year Cyndi – and a very joyous Merry Christmas!!

My daughter and I have been eating “clean” for quite a long time – before it became more popular, and also no processed foods, white sugar, flour, etc. We both have seen a remarkable difference over a number of years, so I personally can testify how good this can be for your overall health and well being – I grew up on a farm in the Dakota’s – not a fast food place anywhere to be seen 😉 – we grew what we ate, and someone’s mom or grandma did the cooking – from scratch. That’s all there was – if you wanted a burger, you made one, if you wanted a pizza, you made it, even in our small town cafe’s – home cooking. I really do believe this was the best for all of us.

My favorite part of your site is your Beauty from the Heart – always find a verse or a word of encouragement to take along with me on my day!!! Thank you for sharing your kindness and your heart with us!!!

  5. That was a fun post. Thank you for sharing all those great tips and for sharing beauty from your heart all year. Merry Christmas to you and your family and looking forward to all you posts in 2016!

  6. Love your postings:) You mentioned essential oils. Which do you use? Do you feel they “really” work? I bought one that is supposed to suppress appetite but I only used it once…it makes me smell like dill pickles!!!!! Another question: don’t you use Stitch Fix? If so, about how much do you spend monthly? Is it worth it? Thanks! Hope you don’t get sick. Have a very Merry & Blessed Christmas.

  11. Super helpful. Thanks, Cyndi! I will sign up for liketoknowit! Also, regarding clean eating, I did the Whole30 with my daughter last Jan and lost 12 lbs. Although loosing weight was not the main reason we did it, we mostly began really thinking about what we’re eating and gained energy and health. Since then I’ve been “clean eating” and lost a total of 20 lbs since last Jan. 1. We plan to do the Whole30 again this Jan. to get back on track. It’s not easy but it def makes you think about what you’re eating and why. It gave me energy, I sleep better, my clothes fit better, I’ve increased my cycling miles, my skin looks better, etc. What we put in our bodies really does matter! Thanks, Cindy… happy Christmas!

    1. Thank you for sharing. I am going to try this! My daughter is Interested as well! Merry Christmas and a Great new year!
