Spring Shopping and Magnolia Market

Spring Shopping and Magnolia MarketGood morning! I’m back from my trip to Dallas, Texas! We had so much fun and I hope you don’t mind if I share a little about my trip.

The MAIN reason I went to Dallas was to pick out some spring clothes to style for Glamour Farms. I am so excited with the clothes I’m going to be showing you in the next few months, cute, cute, cute! And, they are handpicked by me. 🙂

Here are some pictures from our spring shopping day at the Market. I have never seen so many clothes and shoes in my life!

Spring Shopping and Magnolia MarketTo give you an idea of how big Spring Market is, this is a picture of all the floors that are filled with vendors. This is just one side, it goes all the way around! Unbelievable!

Spring Shopping and Magnolia MarketWe worked all day on Thursday and by the end of the day, I did not want to try on another thing! I was done! (Well, I could have tried on more shoes, I never get tired of that!)

On Friday, we decided to have a fun day. I asked you all to guess where we were going and many of you guessed right. We headed to Magnolia Market!! Wayne (in case you didn’t know, he’s my husband) was our driver and he took us everywhere we wanted to go. (We rented a car that morning and it had to be returned by 11:00 pm, we pulled in the rental place at 10:50 pm, they even called us to make sure we were coming back!)

Spring Shopping and Magnolia Market
Here we are at Magnolia Market. It was a beautiful, warm day. There’s a big patch of green grass behind the market where people are playing cornhole and children are playing ball. They have music playing, there are picnic tables and food vendors. It is beautiful and very family oriented.

Spring Shopping and Magnolia MarketThis is inside the market. So many pretty things and there’s a huge section in the back with SALE items. Next time we go, we are driving so I can bring some things home.

Spring Shopping and Magnolia MarketYou know the saying what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, well what happens in Waco, stays in Waco! We really wanted to meet Chip and Joanna and we might have stalked them all day!

I can’t tell you some of the things we did, Ha! but we didn’t get to meet them and believe me we went everywhere we thought they might be.

These pictures were taken at night but it’s their new bed and breakfast. The house on the lower right is where the caretaker is going to live and they had just had a big reveal that day!

Spring Shopping and Magnolia MarketI couldn’t leave the Magnolia Market without purchasing something so I got this baseball tee and the wooden hoop earrings that Joanna wore in season 2.

If you ever get a chance to go to the Magnolia market, I highly recommend it!

Beauty For the Heart~~I have realized that pride is almost always at the heart of our sin. Think of a sin and look at how pride is somehow weaved into that sin.

God is looking for the meek of heart. He is waiting for humble women who have admitted their inadequacy and have no other hope but Him.

Let’s put our Hope in Jesus!

When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom. Proverbs 11:2

Have a blessed day!

  2. I am super jealous that you went to Magnolia Farms, it’s on my bucket list as well. Hilarious that you went everywhere to find them, I would have done the same thing.

When you plan your road trip, you will be going thru AR so I can just hitch a ride when you pass by lol.

I haven’t been to the market before but I have had friends that have gone and I couldn’t get over how many floors there were, could one person actually see it all!!

    Have a good Tuesday!!

  3. What a fun trip! A trip to Waco is on my bucket list😊 Looking forward to seeing all the Glamour Farm finds!!

  4. Looks like you had so much fun! Such a great pic of you and Wayne! Can’t wait to see the new Spring and Summer outfits!

  5. Cyndi, what a great weekend! I am from Texas , lived in Dallas and “ye” markets are huge. Have lived in Arkansas 3 yrs but the Lone Star state is true to my heart.

Can’t wait to visit Magniolia Farms!

    Thanks for sharing

    1. Cyndi,

It’s a shame you didn’t get to meet Chip and Joanna. I have a feeling they would have absolutely loved you! Thank you for sharing such a fun post! Loved it!

  6. Hi Cyndi, so envious of your weekend shopping Quick question, how long has Magnolia Market been open??? We were just in Waco a couple months ago and went to their store but it was super small. Looks like I need to go back to check out this “market”.
    Glad you enjoyed yourself

  7. Oh man, my 2 favorite things, shopping and decorating! Can I say just a wee bit jealous, ok ok a whole lot jealous. :). Looks like it was a great time. Love the t-shirt, can’t wait to see what you’ve got in store for us. Thanks for the constant posts from the Word. I can never get enough of that. Hope you had a great Monday. I’m in Iowa so I need to go caucus. 🙂

  8. Such a treat when your post arrives in my inbox every day Cyndi! I love your words of inspiration and enjoy the photos of your adventures! I ordered the plaid top you posted last week from Glamour Farms as I do a lot of of the clothes that you show. Between you and StitchFix, I’m finally building a nice wardrobe! Wish I could rock a pair of jeans and a baseball shirt like you do though! So cute! Jeans are hard for me, I have yet to find a pair I’m not constantly yanking on! Thank you for doing what you do and for making it easy for someone like me with no fashion sense what so ever to find cute cute things to wear and keep up with the ever changing trends! Can’t wait to see what’s coming!

  9. Thanks for sharing your weekend with us. I’m headed to Dallas in April and had already asked my husband if we could add an extra day to our trip and go to Waco to see Magnolia Farms ! When I saw you post that you were going someplace fun on Friday, I told my husband you most likely were thinking them same I did! He’s a great guy like Wayne, and took me to see John and Sherry Petersik from Young House Love this past fall. Gotta love husbands who know how to make wives happy!! Looking forward to seeing the spring collection too!

  10. I’ve been to Magnolia Market and I also looked for the Gaines’ to no avail. I would have also been looking for you…it would be nice to meet you. Maybe you can consider something like reader “meet and greets” in the future.???

  11. Cyndi – I’m so envious of your visit to Magnolia Market and appreciative of the photos you’ve shared. When the B&B opens up I’m going to talk my husband into taking a field trip to Waco (from California) and do the full Chip and Joanna sight seeing tour. Love your blog, your outfits are always an inspiration. ~ Julie

  12. Ps. My favorite pic is of you and the group of ladies…( I love you and your hubby together too) but I just adore the outfit you have on with the other 3 ladies… You are very beautiful and stunning and your hair is just perfect in this photo…. and I LOVE the lace blouse and blue jeans and boots! 🙂 You shine with God’s love… nothing prideful about you , I see a very humble, Godly, woman, and am very thankful for your blog!

  13. Hi Cyndi,
Love the little Tee and the wooden hoop earrings! Love your boots too. such a cute spring time look. Glad to hear your trip was a success and am eager to see your purchases in up-coming blogs. All the photos were great and Magnolia Farms looks FUN ! When will you start your Spring Fashion Days? Looking forward to them!

  14. Great pics and thank you for sharing about your trip! Love the t-shirt… I would have tried to find Chip and Johanna too….bummer you couldn’t find them ;-( glad you had fun with the Glamour Farm girls. Yea to Wayne for being the chauffeur! He’s a good man 😉

  15. I soooo wish I had known that you were going to be in Waco on Friday because I would have spent all day trying to find you. I am so glad that you enjoyed your trip here. Chip and Joanna have done wonders for downtown. But I am biased as my god daughter works for them.

  16. So glad you enjoyed our beautiful state!! I looks like you had a most wonderful time and I cannot wait to see your spring line!! 🙂 I just asked my husband if we could drive to Waco soon and go shopping and he said, ok!! It is about 2+ hours from us!! Whoo Hoo!!
Many blessings to you and your family!!

  17. So happy you got to go to Magnolia Farms! We are going next month! Can’t wait to see the cute things you picked out at Market. My favorite pic is the one of you and Wayne! 😊

  18. Thanks so much for this post Cyndi!! Just told my husband this weekend that I would like to take a trip to Waco! Love the Magnolia merchandise, Chip and Joanna and especially your baseball T! Thanks for sharing!!

  19. Sounds like you had a fun trip! Busy – but fun! I would live to go to Waco and see Magnolia Market and all the Fixer Upper things going on there. What a cool life they have – to get to do what you love, make a difference in people’s lives, AND they praise God for all their blessings – not much better than that :)…kinda reminds me of you too Cyndi. Glad to hear you’re home safely – and I too wish that shirt was available online because I would have to order.
Looking forward to see what you’ll be stying this spring.

  20. Love your outfit today, that’s pretty much how I dress about 99% of the time. Sounds like it was a really fun trip, and exhausting I can imagine. Going somewhere like Magnolia Market would be hard for me, I’d want to bring everything home with me! I love places like that 🙂

  21. I am so excited for you to visit Magnolia Farms, I would love to go there myself. But I am thankful that my hubby doesn’t mind if I purchase things online from their store. 🙂 Glad you had a fun time in Texas, we are celebrating this week in California with the Super Bowl coming to San Francisco area.

  22. Thanks for sharing! Loving your posts, fashion, photos, and scripture verse. Fan of Fixer Upper too, of course. We are fairly close by in Eustace, Texas! We also drive through Kentucky several times a year on our way (to and from) our daughter in West Virginia. Small world, kinda! Lol. Have a blessed day!

  23. Your blog is such fun to read! If I were in Waco I would try to find the Gaines’ too! It is so cool you got to see the silos and their B&B. Thanks for sharing! Can’t wait to see what you will be wearing from Glamour Farms.

  24. I am looking forward to visiting Waco in the near future with my childhood best friend. We would do the same thing, try and find Chip and JoJo, glad to know there are others. Our whole family enjoy their show.

  25. What a fun trip! I love Fixer Upper too and am planning a Dallas trip in the fall and wondered how far that shop was from downtown. I was thinking yesterday that I was going to go online to see about buying a shirt from Magnolia Farms. I need to look. If they don’t have them online now hopefully soon they will.

  26. How have I never heard of Magnolia Market??? I’ve lived in Central and E. Tx over nearly 30 years. Of course in E. Tx, all one hears about is Canton Trades Day and everyone knows about Round Top Antique Show that takes place twice a year. We tried to get reservations for it last month for the March show and they just laughed at us. Rooms are reserved from year to year by folks! Texas has a lot to see. I love your tee and those wooden earrings. Glad you had a good time. Y’all come back anytime now!
