27 Days of Spring Fashion: Utility Jacket

We are already on Day 3 of my 27 Days of Spring Fashion! Today I’m sharing my utility jacket and how I style it in the spring.

27 Days of Spring Fashion: Utility JacketThere are certain pieces of clothing I wear year round. This utility jacket is one of those pieces. In the fall, I style it with boots and a scarf.

For spring, a t-shirt and my chucks, and I’m good to go! Perfect for a casual day of running errands.

27 Days of Spring Fashion: Utility JacketI’m wearing a simple bar necklace from Baublebar.

27 Days of Spring Fashion: Utility JacketMy jeans are Vigoss skinny jeans and I absolutely love them. They are only $49! They are definitely skinny almost could be a jegging. If you purchase them size down 2 sizes! They run big.

  1. Cute outfit!! I have a jacket like that ! Yay!! I want to wear chucks so bad but they are killer in my feet 😩 !

  2. A day late and a dollar short as usual. Olive utility jacket sold out in my size. Pink Stipes from Gap–gone 🙁

  3. I really like this outfit, and love your utility jacket! This style is better for me than an anorak; those run longer and have a drawstring waist that usually hits at the wrong place on me. Your jacket is on sale for a great price, too. I like both colors it comes in, navy and green – hard to choose!

  4. Love this whole outfit. You are too cute. Also want to let you know all your pictures are clear today on my ipad. Yeah!

  5. I love my Chucks as well; I have red – so cute. Please explain how you have them laced.

Also FYI to anyone interested in shopping cruelty-free, Gap brands (including
Old Navy and Banana Republic) use real fur in their products. I’ll be avoiding them until they go faux.

  6. You’re absolutely adorable, Cyndi! I love your outfit from yesterday, and love this outfit today!
You make the transition to spring so stylish. I’m going to order those jeans after I post this comment.
Thank you for giving us such stylish ideas! You’re a doll!

  7. I have the Vigoss jeans, they are amazing! So soft and comfy. Another winning outfit! I wake up every morning waiting to see what you and Jo Lynne have styled today 🙂

  8. What a a great “Go To”outfit. I just picked up a utulity jacket in Gap on Tuesay at %40 off. However, when I got it home & put it with another olive jacket I have, the color is off, it looks more minty than olive, so it will be going back. And I’ll be saving myself some money! After giving my older olive green jacket a second look, I’ll wear that one now. It doesn’t have that exact utility look but does have the same style neckline yours has. Also has the roll up sleeves with a tab….and I also have it in white & a creamy light cocoa color! A leftover from Coldwater Creek days. I also see a lot of people are styling the utulity jacket with a black/white stripped tee. I like your contrast with the plain white tee. Do you wear your Ahmazing tank with all your tee’s?

  9. Hi Cyndi,
Another perfect Spring outfit. I’m going to be recreating this look also. I already ordered a striped Breton in pink from
yesterday from a British supplier, however I could have ordered it from Gap as it’s still available here, but unfortunately
Gap has a terribly slow mail order here in the Uk.
    Have a wonderful Thursday.
    Nicky

      1. Hi Gina,
I’m thinking it’s because I live in the UK that I could order this top. Isn’t it funny what a frenzy that
Little pink too has caused!! I did try to order the Coach bag but that was unavailable😂
I hope you manage to get a similar top.
        Nicky

  10. OK-I either need to be your cute, chubby plus-sized model (like someone mentioned above) or break-up with you!:) I love everything you style lately, and my bank account shows it! Oh boy! I’ve been shopping your items like crazy the last 2 months! I propose we work together and style the exact same outfit-your size and me-the bigger size! I’ve been getting tons of compliments on everything I wear, but I must stop spending!!! 🙂 btw-I ordered the jeans today…

    1. Larissa, I’m with you!! I love to copycat Cyndi’s outfits, only within my size, budget & store preference. The only issue I’m having is skinny jeans. I’m 5’4″ and size 16′, I can wear a 16W as well. Any suggestions on finding a skinny jean jean that isn’t all that skinny? Or even a slim leg??

      1. Larissa and Gina, I’m so happy to see you ladies, who are more my size. I was Cyndi’s size until a few years ago and still am in my own mind, as well as still being young, but that strange lady that lives in my mirror says it “ain’t so”. I am struggling with size, but more,”age appropriate”, (I’m 67) on some of Cyndi’s wonderful outfits. I love this blog, Cyndi, and you are adorable with a beautiful heart. Thank you!

        1. Carole, I hear ya! I’ll be 61 in a few weeks, but in my mind in not! I’m still carrying around my extra weight from winter of 2014, and feel, ike I’ve added even more ….but I still want to look updated for the weight I am. Jeans are my biggest issue. I’ll take any info I can get on them.

      2. I’m the same size and found boyfriend skinny jeans work well. Their made to be a little slouchy in fit.

  11. Hi Cindy,
I’m crushing on your outfit from yesterday! That Coach bag…. sigh!
What color are your “grey” chucks? The link to the Nordstrom website didn’t display the name and I wanted to shop around for them a bit.

Oh, my photos have always loaded beautifully.
    Thank you!
    Ann

  12. Hi Cyndi,
Another WINNER outfit… and you style it very beautifully. I wear more sandals and stylish flip-flops in the summer then tennis shoes… but these are very cute and love how you match them with the outfit or give a pop of color to the outfit. Thank you for the pink and white striped tee affiliate but it is no longer available in any size at Old Navy either. I am hunting one online… looks like Nordstrom carries one and Target also.
I love the utility jacket… I have the utility sleeveless jacket, with cute little tie in back and front pockets and I usually do wear it with white tee, but with my Indian heritage of a very square facial structure, I usually like to wear a V neck with as many of my tees as possible. God Bless…. Keep your faith!!

  13. You are so Beautiful Cindy, your sense of style is spot on! Have you ever thought about promoting ” Plus size clothing” you could use a model!! God Bless you !!!

    1. Jodi I can hardly get my pictures taken. I can’t imagine trying to find someone else and then take their pictures too. 🙂
      I wish I could!!
      Cyndi

      1. You could hook up with Lane Bryant and let them show their spring line on your site! Just a thought! Have a beautiful day my friend!

  14. Good Morning Cyndi! I too, hope that your web issues have been resolved. I know it is very frustrating for you, more than it is us. I looked for a utility jacket yesterday, but didn’t have any luck. I am going to keep looking to find one in my price range since I know it will be something I can wear just about year round, in place of my knit jackets.

    Have a blessed day!

      1. Thanks Ann! I used Kohl’s cash to order one today. If I don’t like it, I’ll check out the one at Target.

  15. I love the outfits so far. They are both exactly my style and you look super cute being our fashion model. Thanks for sharing and Happy Early Spring to you.

  16. How do you keep your Chucks on without tying them? I try that look, but seem to get it right because my shoes fall off! 🙂 Also, no-show socks or no socks at all?
