27 Days of Spring Fashion: Shift Dress with Navy Blazer

Well our 27 Days of Spring Fashion is coming to an end today. Of course that doesn’t mean I won’t still be sharing fashion for women over 40.

I do have some other fun things planned for April. I get a lot of questions about diet, exercise, and staying healthy. I’m not an expert but I’m happy to share what I do on a regular basis.

I also think we need to talk bathing suits, sunless tanners, shorts, and I’d like to find a really good white t-shirt. So that’s some of my ideas but as always I love to hear from you!

I guess this has been dress week! I told you I love dresses and I especially love a shift dress. (Oh by the way, my pictures today were taken by my sister, Traci from Beneath My Heart, she felt she should get the photo credit. Sisters, gotta love them!! )

27 Days of Spring Fashion: Shift Dress with Navy BlazerSomething else that has been on my blog a lot this week are these Target wedges. It’s obvious I really like them!

I picked this Sam & Libby clutch up at Target. I loved the color and knew I could use it. I thought it worked great with this dress. (I get emails about my nails, I wrote about them here.)

Have I mentioned the wind has been blowing the whole month of March!?

  1. I, too, hate to see your collaboration with Jo-lynne come to an end. 🙁 Hopefully there’ll be a summer one to look forward to! 😉 I know it probably gets quite hectic with researching and gathering fashionable ideas for all of us, but it sure is appreciated. I’ve only been following your blog since Christmas break, but with your help I have dressed out of my comfort zone, especially with wearing leggings and scarves, and needless to say I love them! Thanks for the wonderful job you do and keep it up! Many blessings to you and your family!

  2. I’ve always loved your “Days of Spring, Summer, Fall” etc series. I hate to see it end. I’m sure it’s a lot of work and I appreciate it! I’ve gotten a few of the items and love the ideas! Thanks! Oh, by the way, what size dress did you get in this one?

  3. I can’t believe how fast these 27 days went by.I enjoyed logging on to see what you would be wearing.Love the yellow clutch and shoes, looking forward to see what you have to say about swimming suits the right one is always so hard to find.

  4. Love it!!! Looking forward to summer ideas! My husband will be happy that our card is getting a rest for awhile:)

  5. Hi Cyndi, thank you so much for sharing your Spring Fashion with us, I have to say I have loved every outfit and have already got my wardrobe Spring ready for when the weather warms up here in the Uk. I will be recreating just about everything. Yes wouldn’t it be fabulous if we could all meet up for lunch, it would be just a continuous sound of laughter with a few glasses of wine and chat about fashion and much more. Who knows maybe one day!!!
Thank you again looking forward to April.
    Nicky😀

  6. Such a great spring series, and I have purchased several of the items you have styled – I’m sure that makes GF, Target, Payless, and Loft happy :). Thank you for keeping things affordable! I don’t tend to spend as much on spring/summer clothing as I do fall/winter, and to be able to have some items that are “now” and they don’t break the bank is an extra good thing.
Loved too your handbag series – because I will spend money there 🙂 – I love a good purse!
Looking forward to the things you mentioned – esp. a great tee, and ughh….bathing suits :).
Good Job! Keep it up! Love you! I’ve shared your blog with so many women I work with and we talk almost daily about it, and we all think you’re pretty fabulous!

  7. You look gorgeous! I love everything about this outfit. Thank you for your Spring series. It has inspired me so much!

  8. I bought the wedges at target yesterday and they are so cute and comfy too! Thank you for sharing the faith inspirations! Have a blessed day!

  9. Looked to buy the dress and they are already out of stock! I am wearing my Target wedges today with a hot pink dress and denim jacket – although it will be 85 degrees in San Antonio today! Gotta go back to Target and get the black wedges as well! too cute and comfy!

  10. Thanks for all the hard work on this 27 day adventure. I would love for you to review tan physics self tanner. I need to add some color to my legs but I have not found a tanner that doesn’t smell horrible. I heard that this tanner has zero smell…that would be amazing if true!

  11. Making a note for next Easter to check Target for dresses. I never wear dresses anymore!

I would love to do lunch – you should try for a “meet-up” with your local readers. I see many bloggers doing that and it sounds so fun. Alas, I am too far away – in Michigan.

  12. Thank you, Cyndi, for all the great outfits this month. I REALLY like this dress you are styling today. It looks so comfortable and cool for the summer months. I have ordered the shoes and am waiting for them to arrive. There have been so many things I have loved (and ordered) , if I keep wanting everything, I’ll have to get a second job. Ha! I really enjoy your scriptures and quotes, also. Looking forward to next month!

  13. I will be tuning in for your talk on shorts and the good white tee shirt. I purchased the soft tee in white from White House Black Market. I don’t know if I love it but it’s good enough until I find the holy grail if it even exists.

  14. Can not wait for warm weather to arrive in Michigan. I would love to go to church in a dress with a jacket like yours. Thank you for the inspiration.

  15. What a beautiful dress Cyndi! I have really enjoyed the Spring series that you and Jo-Lynne have done. I have learned so much! Traci did a great job behind the camera.

    Have a blessed day!

  16. Oh my, I love this dress! It looks so cute on you!! I bought the wedges while in Target yesterday, I can’t wait to start wearing them. Target has really amped up their clothes, too. I saw a lot of cute things I’d like to go back and try on.
I can’t believe your spring series is over, but I’m looking forward to all that you mentioned!

  17. This is, hands down, my favorite of all your dresses! You look amazing in this – the whole outfit is spot on!!

  18. I can’t thank you enough for your daily blog, pictures and inspiration! You are truly anointed in God’s Spirit! I, too, use your daily scriptures and have ordered so many things on your recommendations, have not been let down yet! Thank you, you are like a breath of fresh air and sunshine !
    Blessings!

  19. Beautiful and classy! I have really enjoyed the Spring series. Thank you for the inspiration. Love your style!

  20. I have enjoyed your post and look forward to them every day. Thank you so much for all your hard work! I love dresses they are so easy to throw on and help you stay cool in warm weather

I feel my Faith growing… I used your post to do my devotional each day. Looking to Jesus the author and finisher of our Faith … Blessings

  21. Just love you. You look 17! I turned 40 this year & your blog is perfect for me. I love that you are going to address bathing suits. More even, cover ups & hats to wear poolside. We recently took the kids on a sunny vacation & I didn’t swim, just sat by the pool in my frumpy cover up & dorky hat. Please help! I want to look fashionable – but covered up!

  22. LOVE this shift dress, simple yet classy! I always hate seeing your collaborations with Jo-Lynne ending, but I know it must be exhausting to pull together. As always I look forward to each daily post. Have a happy & blessed day!

  23. I would love to have lunch with you and women from this group! Thanks for your fashion tips too…I sure need them. I think I’ll buy those wedges now.

  24. Love this outfit ! Have enjoyed the spring series!
I’m terrified of trying the sunless tanner! I even ordered the one you recommended, but can’t get up the nerve to apply it😛

  25. You and Jo-Lynne have done a Stella job posting a new ootd every day. Must have been exhausting for you but such a joy for me. I can tell because I couldn’t wait to get your posts each day. I have a suggestion that uses your expertise but isn’t so demanding. Take one of your past outfits and change it up. Show us how you can mix and match things from your wardrobe to come up with a new outfit. I love when I see an ootd and get inspired to use what I already have in a novel way. If you’ve already done this, let me know. I just started following you this year and I’m not going to stop!

  26. LOVE this outfit! I love the shoes but I’m 5’9″ and my husband is 5’10” so sadly I try to never wear heels.
Looking forward to your 27 days of Spring Fashion!!
    Blessings!
    Andrea

  27. Well! I guess this has been a very successful month for me (thanks to you and Jo-Lynne). Your tips and style are helping me up my game (or start a game, lol).

We live up north so it’s still pretty chilly, but I have lots of inspiration now (and shopping to do…starting with those Target wedges!).

Honestly, I’ve always considered myself outfit-impaired… but actually received a few compliments this month. I’ll take it!

    Continued thanks!!
