Every season, there are certain items that we need in our closet that are our go-to’s. The items we grab to mix and match with other items within our wardrobe to make our outfits.
These are some of my wardrobe essentials for spring and at least one to two of these items are featured in almost every outfit of the week.
White jeans are a wardrobe essential for me and these white jeans from Loft are on constant rotation in my spring outfits.
Because the weather has been so cool lately I’m grabbing cardigans and jackets. This cardigan from JCPenney is soft and stylish.
I mentioned recently that I’m on a search for the perfect white tee. This soft vintage tee from Gap is a good one. It’s thick enough that I didn’t have to wear a cami under it. It runs small so I would go up one size.
Another thing that is on constant rotation in my spring wardrobe are these wedges from Target. I wear them all the time.
I did purchase these Sam Edelman flats from Nordstrom for travel and I have to say I am in love with them. If you’re traveling or doing a lot of walking these are a great flat and they come in several colors.

Beautifully inspiring! I love this look so much and want to try the wedge you are wearing here. I am always so afraid to wear a 4.5″ heel, as I’m 5’5″ and very slender so I feel so tall in them. Love the outfit and I do agree I discovered those Sam Edelmann flats couple of years ago as a sales person had recommended them to me. They are my most favorite shoes I have ever purchased I wore my so much that they wore down it was hard for me to throw them out. You are on a role Cyndi. I love this outfit and those white jeans. I am finally feeling brave enough to wear white jeans and I love them.
I can definitely vouch for the Felicia flats–very comfortable. I also have some Dexflex ones from Payless that are also comfortable (and less expensive). I may have to take the plunge–finally–on white jeans.
Question: If you use a “white” or light color polish on your toes, what happens to that polish when you use your self-tanner? Do you put lotion on your nail bed or something else to keep the tanner away?
Self tanner won’t usually penetrate your nails polish.

Sam Edelman Felicia flat is my go to comfort flat, I have a narrow foot and they do not slip or slide up and down on my heel and that is saying something, cute and comfortable. White jeans are a must I wear Ralph Lauren straight legged jeans, tried and true for years.

I love this outfit! You look fabulous as always. I bought the white jeans from Loft, and absolutely love them. I also found a great white tee shirt at Loft. It looks like the one you’re wearing from Gap. It’s nice to find one where you don’t have to wear a cami. I have the nude flats, and a sweater in another color to complete your look.

Cyndi, I received an email this morning. I can’t tell you how excited I was in seeing your name in my inbox. I know that is strange but I do love my morning start reading about your tips and the outfit you are wearing.
Since I first saw your post I have started to think about what I put on. My daughter wants to thank you personally. She always is telling me “mom, get with the style”. Now when we shop she will pull out a top and I would say oh if you put a pair of boyfriend jeans with that. She just smiles and shakes her head. I love it! So thank you for taking my head out of the sand and for letting me know I can dress in style. I am 52 and still act and feel younger. I don’t have the perfect body but still think for my age I am in shape and can pull of the up to date style. ha!

I’m a sucker for white jeans…they add such lightness to any outfit! It always amazes me when people say they can’t wear them because they are dirt magnets—I’m thinking, that’s just a great reason to get a new pair (and dye the old one)!

Try J Crew. I purchased some ‘no show” socks from there and have been pleased with them. They have a no slip silicone band around the top that works well and is comfortable. I got mine at the J Crew outlet.
I got some no show socks at Costco that I really like, my daughter got hers at Target. W have large feet so finding little socks that will stay on is a challenge, both socks we got have the silicon strip on the back which we think is the secret. I agree, don’t like “sweaty feet” and shoes are just so much more comfortable with socks.
