Espadrilles: Save vs. Splurge

Espadrilles: Save vs. Splurge

Today is another Save vs. Splurge post and I’m sharing espadrilles! I shared a save vs. splurge post on spring shoes and on handbags and you seemed to like them, so I thought I would do another one.

I have a thing for espadrilles right now and I can’t wait to style a pair. I have seen them on blogs, on Pinterest, and in stores. They have a lot of different styles and I’m sharing a few of them today.

So, let’s get started!

Espadrilles: Save vs. Splurge

Left to Right:

Halogen ‘Dylan’ Espadrille Flat//‘Rockstud’ Ankle Strap Espadrille

‘Adalyn’ Espadrille Wedge Sandal//‘Isa’ Espadrille Wedge Sandal

Elektra Platform Espadrille//‘Lonnie’ Espadrille Flat

Witter High Wedge//‘Janaya’ Espadrille Wedge Sandal

Espadrille Platform Sandal//‘Edina’ Espadrille Sandal

I realized after I made my graphic, that I had a less espensive pair of espadrilles for my last save vs. splurge picture so I’m adding this picture.

I love all these styles and I think they are a perfect spring and summer look. These would be great to add to your wardrobe.

Have you tried any espadrilles?

  1. Hi Cyndi, I just ordered my esperadills wedge (save) but I’m looking for flats as well. It seems you have leopard flats as your staple. I’d like to splurge on leopard flats if I can get a few seasons (my age years) of wear out of them. Id like your thoughts if you think they will continue in style. Thank you

  2. Cindi..thank you for everything you share ..I look forward to reading your blog everyday..you bring inspiration and hope to each day. All your blogs are terrific!I have gotten so many fashion ideas from you the beauty from the heart has been so insightful for me to read each day.Thank you so much!

  3. Hi Cyndi,
I love the dress you wore on Friday evening in Dallas from Glamour Farms. I am concerned about the length and the length of the dress on you is cut off in the pictures. Was the length more than a few inches (2-3) above the knee? The pic of the model wearing it at Glamour Farms has rather long legs and it looks to be about 6 inches above the knee. I am hoping it is a little longer than that on someone who is 5′ 5 1/2″ tall. I would love to order it but at 53 years old, I don’t feel comfortable in something more than a few inches above the knee. I welcome any response you might have.

    Thanks,
    Renee

    1. Hey Renee, I’m 5’6″ and I thought it was a little short. I wore it to a pool side party so it was fine but I’m going to style it this week with a pair of skinny jeans. It can be worn as a tunic.
It would also be cute at the beach with a pair of flats and then I wouldn’t wear jeans.
      Blessings,
      Cyndi

  4. Check out Stien Mart and Rack Room For espadrilles, good assortment, various hi to low heels and prices, saw some cute ones with a cork wedge heel which is a bit easier to keep clean. Have a Jesus filled day?

  5. I think these types of shoes are so cute but I always catch the toe on carpet andl lose my balance. Great post.

  6. Cyndi,
I just scored a save much like your splurge Espedrille sneakers. At Macys the Nine West Noney Slip-On Sneaker retail $69.99. I used a 10% coupon with the 15% off sale. My cost $ 53.60!
    (est. I lost the receipt)

  7. Cute, Cute shoes! I love the save v. splurge posts. Why do I always like the splurge version a tad more? I’m so excited it’s time to get out our espadrilles, sandals, flip flops, and sunglasses and enjoy the spring and summer time!!

  8. I’m shaking my head at some of the splurge ones. I’m definitely going with the save on these! I love espadrilles, but this style comes and goes too often to splurge, ha!

  9. my only comment with these types of shoes is….keep in mind when you are wearing these and driving there are times (or just even eventually) that the heels of these shoes will become dirty because of how they lay in the footwell at an angle. I therefore try not to spend too much on this type of shoe as I’m never sure how to clean the heel properly and for me at least it is just a matter ot time.

  10. I have always loved espadrilles. My current favorite are Lucky Brand. Traditional, low-wedge, COMFY, and nice coverage when you’re in need of a pedicure. Thank you for todays’ S vs S and have a great day.

  11. Hi Cyndi,
For me… a good bargain always catches my eye… but then IF a certain object catches my eye and I have the $$ for it… voilà…. it’s a sale! 🙂 But for shoes, or handbags, I never spend over $100.00 regardless! Loved the Beauty for the Heart ! God Bless you …. and hubby and good luck with your move!

  12. Cyndi, thank you for sharing and for your encouraging bible verses. I want to say that you have a beautiful and genuine smile. One of my favorite bible verse is: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Have a blessed and wonderful day!
