Welcome back to 22 Days of Summer Fashion! Jo-Lynne and I are sharing summer outfits and today is Day 6.
Most of you know I’m a huge dress fan. I love wearing dresses and this polka dot dress from Loft is a perfect summer dress.
The fabric is lightweight but not see through. The top is lined and you can dress it up or dress it down.
I went with a casual look and added these strappy thong sandals. They are on sale for $20! I’m wearing the spanish chocolate color.
I kept my jewelry simple. When it’s hot outside, I don’t like wearing a lot of jewelry.
This is a classic casual dress and would be a good workwear dress. You could add a white denim jacket or blazer.

I love this dress and from the moment I saw it on you I knew I had to try it on. Just purchased it today and it is fantatic!! I am so glad you shared this as navy and white is a must for me for the summer and I love it with the casual sandals. Plus it can be worn to work with dressier shoes and a white jacket or sweater. I also love shoes & especially sandals & as I have many different colors, try to match them to something in my outfit …. I noticed that you most always wear tan or beige even with white …. wondering if I am too matchy-matchy or is it just personal preference?
Anyone out there share my thoughts?
Pamela I try to stay away from matchy matchy as it tends to age us. I love wearing a nude or beige shoe because it helps elongate our legs.

Does anyone else have issues with the strappy thong sandals killing them between their toes? I’ve been looking for solutions but haven’t found any good ones yet?
Yes Perri, I also cannot wear sandals with the toe wedge and unfortunately so many of the cute shoes seem to be that style.

I agree Cheryl! I think the term “Sunday best” got lost somewhere along the way. I like to wear it because its my way of showing respect for my Heavenly Father 😉
The polka dot dress from Loft is super cute. You mentioned the top is lined, is the bottom? If it’s not what do you wear under dresses so they are not see through? Slips are just kinda annoying sometimes… Any other options?
