How was your 4th of July? Our 4th of July was wet but it was still a great day celebrating with family.
It’s countdown for my Cuba trip so I have packing on my mind. We did some shopping last night for all the last minute things we need. I always pack too much but I’m trying to scale way down. We will see!
I will still have posts scheduled while I’m in Cuba and my virtual assistant will be helping me out quite a bit since I won’t have internet.
If and when I do have internet, I’ll be sharing pictures on snapchat. My name is cyndispivey on snapchat if you want to follow along.
One thing I purchased for my trip was this Cabello luxury 4 piece travel kit. Oh my gosh I love it!! The blow dryer is small but it works good.
I won’t take the curling iron because I don’t use that regularly. The kit sells for $285 but it was part of The Today Shows steals and deals and I purchased it for $69.

Something else I purchased recently is makeup. I was running low on my hourglass foundation, love this foundation, but I decided I better get a foundation with a higher SPF. Plus I need quick and easy!
I purchased the IT CC cream with SPF50 (highly recommended by another blogger) and I have to say I am impressed with this foundation. I know some of you use it regularly.
If you have blemishes such as rosacea or age spots this foundation would be amazing. Plus it has a built in primer and it’s anti-aging. Yes, please!
I also needed mascara so I purchased the IT Superhero Elastic Stretch Volumizing Mascara.
Another thing I purchased was this all over powder brush. My powder brush kept leaving bristles behind on my face so I broke down and bought a better brush.

Truthfully, wherever we are, whether work, the grocery store, a ballgame, etc., we need to be ready to share about Christ and we need to be willing to serve people.
It’s easy to get caught up in the day to day tasks of life but let’s remember we are here for a purpose!
One of my favorite verses is Galatians 2:20, I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

I have been wanting to try the IT CC foundation but I do currently use the mascara and it’s amazing!! I got it as a promo from Ulta last year and have been using it ever since. I have very short and fine eyelashes and boy does this mascara make a difference. Thanks again for sharing with us and have a wonderful and safe trip.

I just started using the same CC foundation from IT and I love it. My only complaint is that it includes citrus oil.

I have used the CC cream for over a year and love it. I have really dark circles (genetic) and the IT concealer works well for me. Have not tried the powders…a little afraid if it settling in my fine lines. Hope you have a wonderful trip to Cuba. Love your blog. It is the one I faithfully read every day.

Yes, I have used the It CC make up and LOVE IT!! I also have one of their brushes that has a full brush (I use for applying my make up) at one end and a smaller brush at the other end (I use to apply concealer and eye shadow). The best money I have spent!!! I actually have two, I use one for liquid, such as the CC make-up and concealer and the other I use for powders – blush, eyeshadow, etc.
I too love the IT CC foundation, as does my 21 yr old daughter 🙂 I use the brow gel and brush, and concealer as well! I love hearing it’s recommended. What do you apply your foundation with? I cannot break my habit of fingers, know I should use a brush…
Awhile back I had recommended IT Cosmetics to you so I was pleasantly surprised to see your post today featuring a few of their products! Yay! I, too, love the foundation but I especially love the bronzing disc. I hope you will give it a try. I think you will LOVE it! Yes, I use the IT CCream and love it. I also use the IT brushes and love them. They hold up very well. I use the CCream under the Bare Minerals Powder foundation and at the end of the day I still look as though my makeup is fresh. Love their products
There is a new CC Cream by It Cosmetics that is Luminous. It is my favorite. I think I have tried every foundation they make and this one is my absolute favorite. QVC carries it in a supersize.
Good afternoon Cyndi. I have also used several IT cosmetics including the undereye concealer, the brow pencil and I recently purchased the radiance ombre bronzer. I love them all. I can’t wait to try the CC+ cream and Super hero mascara. Thanks for all the positive feedback. It certainly helps a lot before purchasing new products. Off topic, but how did the summer workwear challenge go. I wanted to try, but didn’t have the money at the time and also my work is more casual in the summer, but would love to try if you do another one for fall.

I may need to try the CC cream again either in a different shade or at a different time of year. I used the light, and honestly, it was perfect in every way except I felt like my skin had a tinge of gray to it. LOVE the bye bye undereye, but I do have to set it with some fine powder from my Bobbi Brown concealer kit. Otherwise, my mascara transfers.
Also like her brushes. Have found kits from QVC to be the way to go, since even if you only truly love one or two things, the bundled price is usually amazing.

Hope you have a wonderful, safe trip. Just want to remind you to put your makeup in smaller containers (3 oz). Just did some traveling and was surprised by the different things allowed or not allowed by different TSA’s. Lost my favorite nail file and nail clipper in Singapore.
I am always iso a good mascara that doesn’t flake or smear. Does It use animal testing? Safe travels!
IT Cosmetics is the best!! I love the coverage but most of all the sunscreen! The Super Hero mascara is fabulous and it makes my eyes look brighter! I use almost all It Cosmetics for skin care and make up! Can’t go wrong with anti aging and SPF 50!
I LOVE the CC Cream by It Cosmetics. It was so fun to read everyone’s comments on it. I personally find that it makes my skin look luminous–especially in photos for my blog!!

I don’t know about mission trips to Cuba, but I had a friend who went to Africa on such a trip. She took cotton, cool clothes to wear and then left them for the women there when she returned home. She said they needed them, and it gave her room in her bags to bring things home that she purchased there. She found out before she left that the women wore skirts and tops, so that’s what she took. I hope your trip is safe and rewarding!
My brother in law and his wife go to El Salvador every year and do not bring a thing home with them, other than a passport and other needed ID documents. They pack old items in an old suitcase -old to us in the USA. New anything is far too showy, and actually looked upon as dangerous, since it could capture the attention of unscrupulous persons.
Hi Cyndy-I used the CC cream and the CC powder. Sometimes I use them together but in summer it is so humid, I only use the powder. The powder has great coverage and sunscreen. I also use the brow pencil. Tried their mascara but I think there are other cheaper ones that are as good. I buy my products at Ulta but think there are more choices on-line. Have a safe and rewarding trip to Cuba.
I love the it cosmetics! I use the CC+ cover cream, then dust on bye bye pores, sometimes I just put on the CC+ perfecting powder. Also love their blush and hello lashes extensions mascara! Blessings to you for a good trip, can’t wait to hear all about it!

You can find the It Cosmetics at Ulta. I just switched to that brand and love the CC cream!
QVC also has IT Cosmetics. They run specials quite frequently. Just be aware of the new Bye Bye Foundation which is sold under a Guthy-Renker infomercial. (1) it’s one of those auto ship programs and (2) the price they mention repeatedly I think you get charged monthly for three months; it’s not the full price. Online I’m seeing lots of reviews from unhappy people who feel they didn’t get the full picture. Not sure why Jamie went that route with this product since so many love her other products.
I understand you can purchase from Ulta, but if you have time, look it up on QVC. They have hour-long shows featuring IT cosmetics, and you get instructions directly from the founder of the company. Very informative! Just put IT Cosmetics in the search bar at QVC.com!!

Hi Cyndi! I have been using IT products for a while. I use the CC cream and the Bye Bye Pores loose and compact powders. I have a scar on my face ( front and center!) from a skin cancer removal and these products work nicely together to disguise it! Plus I definitely need a foundation with a high SPF . These products contain healthy ingredients ( paraben free!) and the anti aging properties make it a win win for me! You can order off the IT website too. They have coupons and free shipping promos from time to time. Free shipping I think just ended yesterday for the holiday but hopefully will be offered again soon. Hi, Cindy! We were just in Havana a couple of weeks ago. It was very HOT in Cuba, so I found simple makeup and hair up (off my neck in ponytail or braid) seemed to be the most comfortable. Beautiful country, lovely people, great trip – just be prepared for the heat.

I received a make-over at Ulta and they used IT cosmetics and I was sold! I grew-up on the gulf coast of Florida, so I have sun spots and some freckles< not cute when your 50+! This make-up covers all of that and evens out my skin. I get accused of using filters on FB sometimes, lol. Not of which I use.
